As many of you might know, I'm heading out the door this weekend for Montreal to attend the Global Interactive Gaming Summit & Expo.

The GIGSE is the largest conference that concerns online gaming. The industry is big, and just about every software provider, casino group, and ecash provider has a representative floating around. What I'd like is for you, my dear forum member, to list issues you'd like to see addressed to whom or whatever.

Also webmasters - I'll be moderating a discussion panel concerning affiliate marketing on Tuesday - if you have any issues you'd like to see discussed feel free to post them here.

You could bring up the retroactive changes that Fortune Affiliates have made. This is concerning many webmasters. I know that this is also being mentioned with FA reps at the CAP Miami Spring Break.

Equally as important to me CM, is the Reverse Withdrawal. I'd like to see casinos offering to reduce it for players on request. Better still, as someone previously mentioned in my Sticky thread, Microgaming etc could allow this to be included optionally by the casinos, with a setting accesisible by the players. As i mentioned previously, i think this would be a good approach to show that they all care about the issue of chasing losses contributing to addictive gambling.

Really wish i could have attended :(

Cheers

Wish List

I wish the Australian bonus slots at the RTG's would accrue comp points.

I like it when you redeem a coupon at an RTG and it spells out exactly what the terms are. That is a great new feature. I wish all casinos did that, or at least sent EXACT AND COMPLETE T&C's with an email when a bonus has been credited.

The theft and deceit practiced by many rake-back affiliates is becoming a very major concern.

I hope you got my invitation to Miami - I never heard back from you.

Too many to mention in 1 sitting.

Will go for one that makes me laugh.

"Spirit of a promo" ~ to evaluate the games?.. One can evaluate the games in free mode if the casino is any good.

The "spirit" of the promotion is to draw in the player to download the software and open an account, thereby making the casino in hand easily accessible and familiar to the player, so the player can lose to the built in house edge on 99.99% of the games for life ~ which is business, which is acceptable.

Some will stay and play, some will move on. All in all, the numbers must be crunched properly in all regards. Failure to do so, is the casinos incompetence or simple mistake to learn from in the future.

Here's a nice direct question for the Peak Entertainment group:

"Why do you say one thing to a player to elicit his deposit, then the direct opposite once he's deposited, played and it's too late to turn back the clock?"

Let's see if they give you a nice, fudged answer.

And tell 'em Caruso says hi. :)

Here are three nice direct questions for anyone from Golden Palace:

1) Why do you claim you do not answer to your software provider, Playtech?

2) Why is baby abuse for advertising purposes acceptable?

3) Do have have any intention of paying those handful of players remaining on the scene that you robbed in 1999 / 2000 and have provable, legitimate claims?

Well I'm back, and it was a very interesting and busy conference. I tried to hit all my bases while I was there - here are a few.

Yeah, they were getting pretty beat up about this. And I am sure they are getting dog piled in Miami :D They are aware that many affilaites think that this sucks - I can understand their points on this, but I am unsure if I fully agree on how this is being implemented. There are a few other casinos that are doing this as well.

Happy to say that this is something that is being worked on, and reverse withdrawal periods are being reduced at players' request in many casinos.

I sent my reply telepathically, but I guess that didn't work. Naw, too busy to sit around a pool and get wasted. I can do that here :D (no pool, but a Biergarten) :drink:

Seriously, I can only fit in two affiliate oriented conferences a year - CAC in Amsterdam (it's close by) and the CAC in Vegas (piggy backs the G2E). Anything more than that would just be overkill.

This was tossed around during the "Bonus" panel discussion. "greedygirl" might be able to fill you in a bit more on this.

Didn't see them.

Didn't have a chance to chase down the GP guys. But Playtech adamantly disagrees that GP is not answerable to them. I also spoke with one of the executives of the Kahnawake GC and he was going to look into this further.

Mine should be out NLT Thursday
