I got a mail from the Gaming club last month about the "vacation offer" www.gamingclub.com/holiday They offer 1 week vacation, including airfare, hotel, meals... If you deposit $100 and wager 10 times. Not a bad deal

It's the 2nd casino I had ever played. It was back March last year when I only played slot and was very stupid then. My bank roll was up to $2400 from $350 but never really cash out (cash out 1 time $1000, then hit reverse... ) becasue I kept thinking I didn't meet the wager requirement. LOL~ No paid, No learn/gain???

It's the kind of offer that, as a former travel agent, I would never accept. Two minutes after landing you'll be facing scores of bizarre agents trying to sell you any kind of timeshare...

So how is something that is compulsory and offer? Seems to me that if its compulsory, then there's not a choice. I would pass on this one in a BIG way.

I must be in hurry and I "thought" the airfare, meal, etc are "included". No wonder.... What was I thinking??? There is no free lunch these days...

Anyway, I'm not speaking for the casino, since I am not privy to any of the contest details, but I will offer my experience of traveling a lot to resorts, vacation packages etc.

Yes, the Casinomeister likes to go on holiday, and living in Europe has its perks

I've stayed at resorts that have offered (once I got there) half-board or all-inclusive packages at special rates . We chose this once (it wasn't compulsary) mainly because there wasn't much to choose from food-wise around the hotel - and it was cheaper than eating out. Other times we have turned this down because there were many inexpensive places to choose from nearby. They weren't compulsary though - so I'm not sure what they are getting at here.

Regardless, I'm sure the winners of this contest will be pleased. I won a cruise through Intercasino last year - and at first the airfare wan't included to Miami (where the cruise departed) thinking that I was coming from the states. Once I mentioned that flying to Miami was more costly than the cruise - they covered that as well. We had an absolutely fantasic time, and Intercasino went out of their way to make sure everything was great. Transporation to and from the cruise was covered, and all meals aboard the ship were included as well. The only thing to pay from was the tipping and drinks. In short - I'm sure the casino will ensure that winners will have nothing to complain about.

And no time share pimps bothered us

As an expert comp abuser (LMAO) I think I will add my two cents here.

First - this promotion is also offered by the Daily Telegraph and Tiscali, which leads me to believe it is some sort of package deal that Belle Rock/The Gaming Club has entered into with a company called TLC Marketing.

Sometimes these packages involve timeshare presentations - though I doubt that this one would. More often than not, you will find many of these conditions:

* Only available Sunday-Thursday
* Often require 3 months advance booking
* Almost never in a popular place
* Never list the actual locations you can choose from
* Require a certificate to be sent to you after you pay for postage and handling (which is more than the cost of a stamp, trust me)
* May require participation (timeshare, compulsory board)

I once had a deal with a company to offer free vacations throughout the US - especially Las Vegas - and to tell you the truth, the locations sucked pretty bad. The ones in Las Vegas were like Motel 7 and the Lady Luck downtown. Needless to say, I don't use that as a promotional tool anymore.

Like Bewitch discovered - "no such thing as a free lunch" - or as Meister put it - "no pain, no gain".

If the Gaming Club and/or TLC Marketing were a bit more forward with the details, then perhaps I would pay attention - but all signs point to a pretty lousy deal.

I had been taking ALL-INCLUSIVE vacation for 4 years and love it. You can't beat the one price for airfare, all the meal/drink and nice beach. I never try this type of vacation gambling club offers. There are too much paper work and advance notice involved. I will skip this offer, I guess.

However, I will definitely try your video slot system when my NT price recover . Have a good one~

Spearmaster is right on the mark with that info. Those are the typical terms included with the so-called free vacations, but you left one out. You have to supply 3 dates for them to chose from and then they'll decide which one you get.

I got a decent prize a couple of years ago from gambling.com, they had a daily or weekly giveaway of a one or 2 night's stay in vegas. It was at a choice of 3 hotels (their choice) and I ended up at the excalibur (I think MGM & Luxor were the other 2). It was pretty good for free, and since I was going to CA on business anyway, I just used it as a stopover for a mini vacation.

Not bad for free, but read all of the fine print!

LOL - this is very true... not all packages, but many of them always request alternative dates in case your first choice isn't available.

The package you went on at least offered decent hotels... LOL... as much as I don't care for the Luxor or the Excalibur, they're still way better than a Motel 6 or Lady Luck...

If I could only find a good offer without those silly conditions... even if I had to pay a bit more in order to offer it, I would... after all, that IS directly in our line of business. The other package cost me $99 and was unlimited... meaning I could give away vacations to everyone who wanted it so long as they were willing to pay something like $20 shipping and handling... but those were the very early days of Got2Bet and we were still the first, and amongst a very rare crowd... who offered something to their visitors for "nothing".

This was actually the very first thing I thought of when I made that offer nearly four years ago - the only problem is that we are unable to fix the airfare because everyone lives in different places. Accommodation and food/drink are not so hard to arrange.

Another thing to remember is that the hotel knows you're on a freebie stay, so don't expect to be treated like a 'paying' customer.

Hmm, this just mirrors online casino play SO much, doesn't it? You play with free money or a bonus, and you don't get the same perks as a non-bonus customer. And you gotta read the T&C inside & out to make sure you know all the catches.

Pray tell what perks do they offer non-bonus customers? My impression is that there is absolutely nothing (not talking about VIP club, High roller club etc)!

I'm mainly talking about those that only deposit and play when they get a bonus.

Faster cashins at most places for one. VIP status too (I know you said besides that), which may have things such as special contests, gifts, better comps, etc. Occassional special match bonuses, or hard luck comps.
