So, with Xmas rapidly approaching, I like many other parents have children to buy presents for, and a majority of us will buy presents that are game console related, my son's favoured console atm is his PS3, with this in mind I set off up town to have a looksie at what PS3 stuff was on offer, after some deliberating between headsets ranging from £9.99 - £299 I opted for this.......

A gaming char that I was unreliably informed at Argos was compatible for every latest version games console out there, I bought it, my son came down yesterday and as he will be staying at his mum's for Xmas for this year we decided Xmas was yesterday lol, his eyes popped out of his head when he unwrapped the chair and I duly put it together for him.
I don't know who to blame for what happened next - Sony for not having a jack plug audio input option on their PS3, or X Rocker the makers of the chair for not having an HDMI input, okay the chair isn't capable of video based options so the need for a HMDI input were overlooked, completely forgetting that audio also comes in with HDMI connections but they could have supplied one of these for the wireless transmitter.............

These chairs are a huge seller atm and we can safely assess that around 50% of the buyers, are buying them for kids that use a PS3 console, that's a whole heap of pissed off kids come Xmas and nowhere open to buy the cable needed for the PS3.
So, in the nutshell - Argos....Train your staff so they at least know the basics of products you are selling, X-Rocker - Next time you create a product that is *Compatible* with every console out there, take a few minutes out to research the latest consoles out there and their relative video/audio input/output options, before selling items that are clearly not compatible until the customer has bought extra items.
