Game of Thrones slot (Microgaming)

I have to say I do not get the appeal of slots like this, or what the developers are thinking.. apart from $$$

It is so boring, nothing happens until your money is gone.

At least with DOA type slots, yes I usually lose, but I at least get a few features, a few wins and some excitement for my money

No huge wins yet for me on this, but I still like the slot and do not find it boring.......

maybe it would be a bit boring money-wise if the 2 scatters always pay the same and there'd be just one feature.....but the variety of wins possible with upto 250x with just 2 scatters in the feature round is great.....hope to post a few nice wins soon :)

Max Damage might be a boring heap of dung (as I not so eloquently put it in an earlier post within this very thread), but hey, at least I am up on that slot.
Well I had my first go on GoT and I agree with the nay-sayers - it's s steaming heap of dung.
After about 250 spins of nothing at all happening (except my balance quickly shrinking) I lost the will to live & went on Max Damage instead.
By comparison, that was orgasmic!
Only played about 150 spins, had several features and won all of my GoT losses back.

Never seen the program, but even without knowing the first thing about it, I can agree the design of this slot is really dull. After the great efforts MG made with Jurassic, Terminator, Dark Knight, etc, they seem to have really dropped the ball with this one. :(

Yes I have to say that Jurassic Park gets my vote for best MG release of 2014.

Glad you GOT back all of your GOT losses (see what I did there?). :)

i was having a trawl round youtube last night and stumbled on the aristocrat b+m version of the slot, i think a lot of people expected something like this ?
Oh WOW - that looks 100x better than the MG one!

Maybe that also explains why the MG one looks so dull - could be they weren't allowed to use images of the characters as Aristocrat got the rights to them first?

This one looks cooooooool!!!

I don't get it. MICROGAMING is soo big and they're doing such boring new slot releases? I mean here we don't even have an exciting bonus round, it's all so basic. Don't get it...

Now You're talking - OMG what were microgaming thinking. I assume there is no chance of aristcrat bringing that land slot online?

This slot was really boring on free play mode... I think Aristocrat is much better than MG, I mean they do create B&M slots after all.

im Australian and ill be lucky if it even ends up in a venue. We get them last. Knowing aristocrat i doubt it will be online for 5 years most of there online games are at least 5 year plus old. these people are snails in the market here.

I wouldn't have a clue what to expect because I've never watched the show but.....

DAMN!!!! THAT is what I call a slot machine! It looks like it's the length of a frickin' pool table lol.

If that version was ever to get online....the mind boggles as to how popular it would be. It just looks so awesome.

Sweet baby Jesus that is a massive slot! You're right though, that's exactly what we were expecting but obviously no wonder Microgaming haven't included characters. Any chance on Aristocrat releasing this online any time soon? It looks really cool!

That type of slot looks amazing! By comparison MG game of thrones looks like it was made in the 1990's.

Your right it looks pretty awesome to play and I really wanted to see what happened after the dragon flew around the screen to bad it got cut short. Only issue with that slot though is you'd have to keep looking up and down to see what was going on but it'd be worth it for a short while :P

oh welll that's one mystery solved then....no way they could have got the rights then

^ ^ I would tend to agree.

It's certainly not impossible for two companies to have similar rights for branded content in different markets & a good example of this is with Jurassic Park... We're all familiar with the Microgaming online version, but perhaps less known is that IGT have a land-based version of the game (seen Outdated URL (Invalid)). Screenshots from each game are below & if you look at the lead actors (especially Sam Neill), there really isn't much difference in the images used...

That said, it is pretty rare & we've seen other examples which include MG removing LoTR whilst WMS still have the Outdated URL (Invalid), and the MGS 'Playboy' slot being blocked in Canada, whilst Bally Technologies have a branded game called Old / Expired Link.

I just HAD to go on Youtube to investigate further......and bloody hell, is there plenty going on or what? It's a pity there wasn't any close ups. The first link is the Dragon bonus feature.

Yeah played the landbased Jurassic Park slot in Vegas! But i only saw this one in the US... And because MG is not active in the US, it probably works this way :)

Just a quick update to warn people about Game of Thrones...
Played it on release at 2 different casino's and it was hot for me,ended on a nice profit on both occasions...

A few days ago I gave it another try at a third casino and I have experienced slotting at it's worst.
Think deposited about 1400 Euro all together playing mainly €1.50-€1.80 stakes.
From spin one the slot was stone cold and it never ever recovered.

Average time to hit free spins about 1 in 600 spins,it was horrible.
Max win in whole session about 70x stake, this is for both base game and free spins.

It just would not do shit for me.

Side note, this casino gave me €250.00 worth of comps after my terrible session so that was greatly appreciated.
Unfortunatelly also those were not meant to be and got eaten by GOT.
My RTP after session one was about 64% and it dropped to 61% after session 2.

So be very very aware this slot has massive hit potential but be prepared to pay the price for that. :-)

Still think it is not a bad slot but a very streaky and high variance bastard nevertheless.

No more for me of this slot until the new year as Xmas is looming.

Might give it a go again in 2015 and maybe, just maybe it will give me something back. ^^

I take it thats a pit than?

With the game I hate it, Terrible sh*t, I give a few more goes when depositing but I think them screen shots was just for show like some the other new games, I now think that switched is right down,

Also another terrible game alow its not new is (kong) done the 20 for 20 on coral and max win was £5.20 on 40p most of the spins was 20p only got 2 bonus rounds, I nether touch it again

Betvictor have a good promo for this slot, wager £50 on both the 15 and 243 line version and get 50 free spins next fri.

Only problem is with alot of promos I have seen with theses games are you do get the free spins but the free spins are only for the 15 line one, So do look out for that peeps

I love Game of Thrones, I can say I LOVE it.
Of course I am talking about the series and not the m*&%f%&g slot.

Just burnt $200 in 10 minutes with 2 free spin features, my max win on $2.70 bet was $50. :(

The empty spins just drove me crazy and barely any teases...
I see the potential, I swear I do but I need a big hit on something else before I come back to this piece of garbage.

I`m out!

I need to backtrack on my first post on the GoT slot.

It seems I just played the game on the wrong site (32Red).

Since I`ve given a go at it on Betat I`ve been crushing souls with this game and winning decent amounts.

I don`t want to exaggerate but I am up close to $1000 on this slot lately.

Happy as!

Just in case players are not aware yet, play this slot with extreme caution.
I have played all 243 slots many many times but variance wise this slot is RIDICULOUS.
Just as an example, after 500 spins at 1.20€ I lost 400€. No feature.
I do expect to see many many more high wins in the screenshots and because of this the slot will be very popular.
If you want to play it at all, just try a few 100 spins a session, if it is not paying RUN AWAY.

Sounds like Finer reels of life, 100x gone in no time is normally.

But will see tommorrow as its released in denmark will play it carefully with a few risk spins here and there:)

Fullscreen wild whats is better?

Fullscreen on Game of Thrones or immortal romance, playboy & finer reels of life?

Game paid good on the first day I played it, horribly since very rarely giving features (several hundred spins and sometimes not hitting it)

Did just get almost 4 full reels of the silver symbol though which sadly only paid about 120x on the 3x feature which was annoying.

It's one of those slots where I will NEVER make it my first game to play on a new deposit. I'll stick to my usual favourites like TDK, JP , IR, TS2, Max Damage as my opening game.

I have since tried a different approach to playing GOT. After making a deposit, I will go to my usual favourites and try and get an early lead, ideally up to at least £50. Then I will give GOT a try for a maximum of 100 spins. That way, if I get 100 piss-poor spins, I can walk away still holding a lead of no less than £25. But if I can maybe "nick" a decent win or two within that 100 spin window, I can maybe play a bit longer than the 100 spins I originally planned and still walk off with a profit.

So on Saturday, I put this new approach into practice. Despite getting no free spins until I had played over 300 spins, I walked away with a £40 profit thanks to wins of 90x, 70x and 50x. Not to mention a decent handful of 10x to 30x wins. Finally, I have got one profitable session of GOT under my belt.

I'm not going to chase the losses I incurred on the day of it's launch. I think that's a recipe for further disaster. Doing it this new way, I might get to claw some of those losses back in small chunks. But even if I don't, I won't allow GOT to bust me on a deposit by deposit basis. It's way too volatile.

GOT 243 Ways: 400 Features in free play, 100 for each of the different bonuses.
Thnaks for all your time & effort in producing some great stats... AGAIN!
And for making the spreadsheet downloadable, so I could extract some other data.

On the face of your 100 feature results, the Baratheon looks too be WAY better than the others:
Feature . . . . . . Average return: Bet x
Baratheon 8x5 . . . 61.01
Lannister 10x4 . . . 26.07
Stark 14x3 . . . . . 36.55
Targaryen 18x2 . . 29.86

BUT you did have 2 exceptionally good wins on that (and on Stark), so I took off the top 2 wins from each feature, and then the averages were:
Feature . . . . . . Average return: Bet x
Baratheon 8x5 . . . 29.28
Lannister 10x4 . . . 23.13
Stark 14x3 . . . . . 24.53
Targaryen 18x2 . . 27.07

Now they are much closer together, which is what should be expected, as long-term, they should all return the same amount of wins.

These figures demonstrate again, that even 100 features is not enough to get a totally accurate picture and that you'd need to do literally 1,000's if you wanted to work out the actual true RTP & variance of any slot.

Keep up the great work!

Interesting to see you put Max Damage in there mcgameboy. I played that a fair bit when it came out and I got a lot of game time on it without making a loss or profit. I basically ended each session on a level par. Sometimes a few coins up, sometimes a few coins down. Just felt like I might as well have not played it.

This game is worse than BDBA if not being kind. We need kktmd back to smash a million RNG hits (spins) through it urgently...
