This looks to be another crap site. A lot of the 'approved' casinos are terrible. They state that their mission is to help regulate gambling and claim to perform random audits on the casinos. They have a seal :
Look for this Seal to
ensure reliability!

These are on the approved list:

Winward Casino

Delano Casino

Club Dice Casino

Bingohall.com

Golden Comps Casino

Five Roses Casino

Onluck Casino

Columbus Casino

King Solomon's Casino

Hampton Casino

Mapau Casino

Casino Fortune

Miami Beach Casino

World Wide Vegas

Roman Palace

Bingo2bingo

LuckyDragon

Bet on Sports

Big Tex Sports

Party Poker

GC Sports

Roman Casino

Goldenballs Casino

Cyberbingo.net

Allpokergames

Hmm, is it a trained seal? Does he do tricks for fish??

Looks like about 50/50 on the casinos. Half good, half bad.

Probably one of those casino-owned sites which throw in a couple of others to make it look good??

It's been around a while. Just a casino promotion site masquerading as something it is not.

I wonder whose it is. No name, just more b.s. on the registration.

Gambling Commission Organization (QTLTDKOBJD)

according to mapquest, that address doesn't even exist

Somoeone should tell Slotland to stop boasting about its affiliation with gamblingcommission.com. This is from the faq and gives no link to the site but the logo/seal is on the main page.

How can I verify that you are honest?

SLOTLAND is fair and honest. We wouldn't last very long as a business if we made a practice of cheating our players. Besides this, our company's accounts are revised and audited regularly by an independent body. SLOTLAND is a licensed casino approved by the Gambling Commission. As in the case of all casinos, browser malfunctions void play. In the case of dispute, any wins will be paid at the discretion and consideration of Slotland. Upon further request, Slotland will readily provide the records for the wager(s) in question.

Based on this, I declare myself a gambler who's approved by the Gambling Commission. I'm drawing their seal on my monitor right now!

LoL jpm.

That fact that Slotland has the Gamblingcommission banner sucks. It's obviously just a part of a link exchange with that site, but they should use more discretion. Sheesh. :(

I'll give Slotland a heads up on this. This is obviously a very old old link, probably been there since the 'git go. I know that the Gambling Commission handled some player complaint about a year ago, but I can't remember what it was. I've never met these guys. They don't get out much - very low profile which is odd for a "commission".

I just checked on slotland again (months after this thread started) and they still talk about the 'gambling commission' in the FAQ and their security page:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

The actual gamblingcommission.com site seems to have cut down on the number of casinos listed there as approved but it still has some dodgy ones. This is one of the criterion for Casinomeister's reputable list: "They must have no affiliation with "fake" players' advocacy groups.". There is also something I'm not sure about yet at slotland too (more details later).

On the same page:

Slotland Entertainment S.A. is an established internet gaming operator with several years of experience in the industry. The company is fully licensed and registered by the Government of Anjouan.

How bizarre! It's a small island off the coast of Madagascar - who said playing at on-line casinos isn't a way of learning about the world...

But maybe dealing with their licensed casinos isn't top priority just now!

Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) :D

slotland still using Gambling Commission ruse..

I just wanted to let people know that Slotland is STILL trying to justify there site behind the Gambling Commission seal. I have been playing the Magic slot at Slotland for the past couple of months. I have kept data on my last 15000+ lines (is this a good sample size?) and my payout is only 86.1% using PERFECT strategy. That seems low to me considering that the slots are supposed to payout around 93% (98% - 5% for the progressive). Anyway, I have been having quite a long back and forth with Robert the customer service supervisor. One of the questions I asked him was whether the random number regimes were constant. He tried to assure me by stating (I won't use a direct quote) "we would immediately lose our seal from the Gambling Commission if we were able to alter our payouts".
Does this sound like he was trying to mislead me, or at least convince that there are some controls on Slotland that simply don't exist?
Doing a search on "Slotland" through the forums has given me a lot of information that I wish I had a couple of months ago, but also a lot of ammo in my discussions with Slotland :D
I guess now that I am here, are there any statisicians who might be able to tell me whether 3086 spins on a 5 line slot is a big enough sample size to draw any conclusions if my results are 7% below the expected results? (It should be noted that if I was flat betting, my return would be 78.9%, over 14% below expected!)

Thanks, Jamie

The standard deviation on a slot machine could be 10 for a single line! If it was a single line you could have anywhere between 40% to 150% payout after 3000 spins. If you assume a covariance of zero (not likely) then after 15000 spins, you still expect to have a payout between 65% to around 120%.

You are talking a little above my head. How do you determine the standard deviation for a slot machine? Wouldn't it depend entirely on the structure of the pay table? You say after 3000 spins you could have a 40% to 150% payout. I know ANY payout is possible, but what level of confidence are you talking about, 90% (ie 90% chance that the value would be between .4 and 1.5). That just seems way too wide, especially for a machine that pays out a substantial portion of its payouts in the small prizes. Also, what is a covariance and how do you determine it? And, if I continue to hit at .80 to .86, how many spins do you think I would have to get up to before I could reasonably conclude that I wasn't playing on a .93 machine (what is minimum sample size at that return?)?
Oh, and THANK YOU very much for the reply. Slotland apparently doesn't have a mathematician on site, because the numbers you gave me are numbers they would have loved to have thrown in my face!
I am going to post my data from my 15420 lines just so you get an idea of the prize distribution. The prize levels are 2x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, and 1000x. Obviously, some prizes are mutually exclusive on the same spin, but most of the common small prizes can be hit on different lines of the same spin:
3084 spins, 15420 lines
1000x: 0
500x: 0
250x: 0
100x: 7 .04539
50x: 21 .06809
20x: 77 .09987
2x-10x: many, .5221-.5270 (messy stats at this level)
Bonus round: .12004

total payout: .86101
payout if flat-betting: .7890
Note: spins are at 50 cents a line for bonus noneligible spins and $2/line for bonus eligible spins. At this point, it woud be too complicated to break it down into the categories of spins.

Thank you for any help. Even if it turns out that my numbers are believable and Slotland's Magic does indeed pay out at .93, my dealings with them in this matter have shown them to be deceptive. Something is fishy at this casino. I may get into it in a new thread.

When you want to post a message, instead of clicking on "Post Reply", click on "Quote" at the bottom right corner of the poster's message you want to reply to. You will see his/her text in your message inside the
tags. You can then delete part of the text and only keep the line(s) you want to emphasize, as long as you keep it inside the tags.

Thank you

This is strange, I hope it works...

Ha! Thanks. And I thought that was a little tag that denoted a person's favorite quote!
