Let me start by saying that I found the Casinomeister through a "Best Of" issue of GOL. But the editors/publishers either have blinders on or have their heads firmly implaneted in their fpoc's (paratrooper term?).

They never have anything negative to say about any online casino, ever. The only negative issue they face is the attack on the industry by the US legislature.

I guess in the GOL world, no player has ever been shafted by a rogue casino. No casino group's T&C's are unreasonable. No players wait for months for a payout. Who are these idiots?

I've been receiving the mag for about two years now (after receiving my first 3 issues free for depositing at Windows Casino). I enjoyed online gambling and thought an industry magazine would have some useful information. Instead, I get 100 pages of pro-industry propaganda every month. The last straw for me was the latest issue's multi-part look at RTG. Apparently, all the posters at Casinomeister are wrong, every RTG casino is a well run operation, loved by all. Fortunately, I keep my copies of GOL within reach of the comode, they may come in handy when the Charmin runs out.

Be sure, when my subscription runs out, I will not be renewing. I feel guilty for killing the trees necessary to print this piece of crap.

Just my opinion. Anyone have anything positive to say about GOL? I'd love to hear it.

In defense of GOM, I'll have to say that that there have been some informative articles on gameplay, and also on spotting scam casinos and what to do if you run into trouble. I've written articles for them concerning this, and so has Julie Sidwell, and Ted Loh.

On the other hand, they are relying a bit too much on RTG casino advertising dollars, specificallythe Crystal Palace group and Windows casino. Lest we forget, Warren Cloud owed GOM $$$$$$ for advertising - and it was only this past January that he finally paid up. Instead of telling him to sod off, they took him on again as an advertiser.

I'm hoping that some changes will be made in the near future in choices of advertisers.

I agree kniepm. It is hard to take any publication or website seriously if they allow their opinions to essentially be bought by their advertisers.
