On casino sites where they have the option to play for free and the option to play for real. Do the games differ when you actually play them for money. I have played free and won more than I think I have when playing with real money?

I can't say for sure that they pay exactly the same but they claim to. It seems to me to pay the same. The only thing to remember is that you are likely to bet big when you play for free and it will seem like you always win big. Try playing just $20 and bet small. See how you do.

I can't remember which software it was, but I tried someone's no-download games in play for fun and couldn't lose a hand at BJ and couldn't do anything but hit big wins each spin on roulette. To me, that 's a very sleazy 'bait and switch' programmed in to the software to entice you to play for real. There was no way I was going to plunk down a credit card number after that.

Every casino should be very aware of the need to maintain truth in advertising. You can make more money in the short run by being unethical, but I'm only going to play where the casino is more concerned with long-term loyalty and trust instead of a quick buck.

I think the payout is different.

Easy to win when play for real so than confuse you and make you can deposit money quickly.

For the main software brands, there is no difference. What many players experience is a difference in outcome since when playing in the free mode, many players take risks they would not take while playing with real money.

BUT, there are some software providers that make wins easier to acheive in the FREE mode (to enhance the playing experience). In some cases, it is stated in their terms and conditions like the Wager21 casinos.

And then sometimes - it is not stated....

Yeah, i think that probably is the case. I do tend to bet bigger when playing free. There have been some casinos though I have played at free and it has been hard to lose in the free games, so sneaky! As soon as I realised this was the case I never played again. These casinos dont realise if the player feels like he is being cheated he wont feel safe to deposit there and play again!

What's even worse are the casinos that pop up a window after a decent sized win (in free mode) saying (paraphrased) "It's your lucky day! Deposit!!!"
