Surely Liverpool can't lose it from here

.....can they? :D

They won't..

Before the 2020 Champions League Final is played, Liverpool will be holding:

The European Champions League
The Premier League
The Uefa Super Cup
The Club World Cup

Maybe even the FA Cup and 2020 Champions league... Klopp is THE Man

I remember when Liverpool fans wanted Klopp sacked after a couple of seasons :D

He promised a trophy in 4 years - He delivered 3 and the 4th probably on its way.

Probably just knee jerk reactions - The man had a plan and FSG gave him the time and backing to implement it.

Probably the best manager in the world at present.

Super Cup & World Club Cup don't count. He might as well have won the Disney Club Under-17s Subbuteo Championship for what they're worth

The bookies odds are 1/100 against liverpool not winning the title, so put on a £1,000 to win a tenner

16 points difference atm in the table; 5 losses and 1 draw or more realistically 2 losses and 5 draws while city would need to win every game remaining [plus lfc have a game in hand at west ham]

Difficult away games for lfc, wolves, everton , arsenal, man city; and chelsea at home.

Man city have 6 tricky games with top 5 teams [incl man utd who have been floundering since fergie retired :p ]

I think VAR has made a big difference and cancelled out enough borderline man city goals they would have been awarded in previous seasons, obviously on top of liverpool and klopp's skill, but man city still seem to make light work of beating teams so it will probably be closer next year, going to be hard to hold onto the crown but hopefully the new japanese player will do well and get our goal scoring up, firmino has only scored 7 league goals so far from 22 games.

VAR has statistically awarded Liverpool about 85% more favourable decisions than other teams in the league

Gerrard? Ol' slippy boots you mean?

That was brenda's fault trying to play gerrard deep as a QB playmaker, he should've played off suarez connecting with the thru balls.

edit: my credentials, successfully taking wba to several european finals in championship manager, and taking hartlepool right to the top on LMA manager

Apart from their obvious amazing exploits this season it's actually impressive what Klopp's assembled there in terms of infrastructure.

There's a tonne of youth prospects at the academy, including Rhian Brewster, Curtis Jones, Ben Woodburn, Ki-Jana Hoever etc

Yeah the plastics Not the real ones
In fairness, it's the blue half that are really bad. I've never read so much vitriol from Everton fans because their team lost in the cup. It was salt carnage

In fact if you tally up all the pro-Liverpool VAR decisions and removed them, they'd be fighting relegation.

It's true
Oh come on don’t start with the var shouts look at Sunday’s var decisions the firmino goal should of stood. Var is a disgrace to the game either way it needs to be scrapped it was a good idea At first but it’s proven this season to of been a complete shambles

Lol that's utter trash talk. Name one other English team bar united that has won it. You need to win the Champions League to participate... not the charity shield.

Liverpool's rivals can't whine about how insignificant a trophy is unless they are there competing ... thing is it's easy to say it's nothing because they dont even qualify.

You're starting to sound like the BTG rep making it sound like hitting 14000x on Bonanza is easy.

Thankyou Natey. I think you'll find me & the BTG rep are purveyors of truth

Although he's probably a tad more honest :D

:lolup:Yeah... that's why VARChester United got the calls at Anfield ...

Thank goodness Atkinson wasn't there and Webb is retired.

Webb could hardly contain his smug relish whenever giving a big decision against lfc, especially if they were playing utd, there's been some awful refs in the last 15-20 years, prima donnas who want to be the centre of attention. That's the one reason I like VAR, limits the harm some of these plonkers can do.

Thing is.. Liverpool cannot get a decision from VAR without opposition fans taking the piss.

When decisions go against LFC... there is radio silence. The De Gea and VVD incident was typical. Nobody cares because it did not go in Liverpools favor.

Remember Firminos armpit was also classed to be offside earlier in the season too? His F*cking ARMPIT.

Team can cope without Salah for a spell, that much we know. Without Mane they did struggle a while back as we saw, but got through it relatively unscathed.

It's Van Dijk they need to wrap in cotton wool, if he's out then there's trouble. Far and away their leader and proverbial glue

When we signed him for something like 70 million I thought we'd massively overpaid for a defender whose last two clubs were celtic and southampton. But he's been better than I could've hoped for, comes across as a real pro, rather than one of those spoilt brat punk players, with silly haircuts and more tattoos than a japanese gangster!

I think this is where FSG come into their own, I'm sure they have a say in who gets bought and sold. I doubt any trouble maker players will be tolerated. Our player purchases had been ropy for quite a while, I could probably name the best purchases in twenty five years on two hands.

reina
hyppia
alonso
suarez
torres
babbel -not ryan, markus
hamann
mascherano
patrick berger
dirk kuyt, for his effort and teamwork

If anyone can think of somebody who should be added to this list? [pre klopp] I'm sure I've forgotten one or two

I liked Can, going back further I might add Kewell & Riedle! Though the latter didn't get enough play time I felt

There's an argument to be made for Riise too

oh yes I forgot emre can, he did well, was in and out of the side and got fed up, I don't know how he's getting on at juve.

Yes risse was a good fullback, had something about him, scored quite a few rockets iirc. Riedle was getting on but still good, scored a lot of headers and played the 2nd striker role well. Kewell was a decent winger/ flair player however I can't remember a run of games when he wasn't soon crocked.

Yes henchoz was another top player, a bit overlooked in that partnership with hyypia,
[ been spelling his name wrong all night, some fan I am  ] I think we bought henchoz off blackburn when they were relegated.

My list could get a bit bloated, might have to add me toes to count on too

But of course I thought I'd leave the best 'til last, the creme de la creme, the one and only:

'Ow my balls' Phil Babb

edit: we're going further into the past. Doesn't time fly

I think he was part of the spice boys era, he wasn't bad, but that cup final left a terrible memory. Tbf man utd were fairly invincible in those days, we had some good players season to season but something was missing that klopp has at last put back.

Would take Klopp at United right now in a heartbeat.
