There's one thing that I'm really passionate about - Football / Soccer (Whatever you wanna call it)

I am an ardent follower of the Great Game and I love 'The Reds' ... for those who are unfamiliar, the Mighty Liverpool.

I'm curious to know how many Liverpool fans there actually are running around MeisterLand....

If you're not a scouse by heart - Who do you support?

Nate

Manchester United!

I never watched football/soccer back in the states.

However, a very good friend of mine from Manchester turned me onto the game. Not hard to guess who his favorite team is. ;)

I still follow and support Manchester United!!

Hey Nate,

I've probably bored you with this before, but I was born and raised in Liverpool and support the correct (red) side of the city too. :)

No stolen cars / curly wig / mugging etc jokes please.

Mark

If I'm not mistaken Steve supports Liverpool also? I know Pat doesn't LOL....

We play Tottenham tonight, Hoping we can overcome our 'Bad Run' against them in particular. Would be befitting for Luis Suarez to net tonight on his return.

I've always respected the Gooners - I suppose there isn't a rivalry between the two clubs although we may jostle for placings on the League Table.

One of the biggest downfalls (IMPO) of Arsene Wenger is the ability NOT to reinforce a decent squad with experienced players in order to further their progress. Seen it many times where Arsenal were on a run of note and that experience could have helped them. He persists with the 'Young Talent philosophy - im sure he has been raising a few brows...

Liverpool on the other hand haven't exactly been he best in the past during the transfer windows. Rafa Benitez had his moments and bought a few good players. I suppose it was Tom Hicks and George Gillette who ultimately lead us to dropping outta the CL spots and their greed for money.

I'm hoping that we can regain it under Kenny Dalglish and I hope some of our (Overpriced) signings come good and kill the criticism on their price tags.

Nate

I'm a Liverpool fan too!

You should have seen the look on the face of the Club World rep at LAC last week, when we beat his beloved ManU 2-1 in the FA cup!
Never mind - there's always next year... :D

Not too easy to guess nowadays with the rise of Manchester City.

Well. I will have to ask him- but I do believe my buddy is still a ManU fan.

I'm just the type to stick with a team once I'm 'turned on' to a new sport by a fan.

As a result? With Football it'll be ManU, for Hockey it'll be the Redwings, for American Football it'll be the Eagles...

And when I discover new sports? I'll get new teams to try and follow!

Excelsior! Onto adventurous new sports!

I, for one, want to see more 'dangerous games. Like playing tennis on the back of bears with a regulation UN Grenade. It'll be the most dangerous game.... :P

((Also. Go ManU.)) :D

If you are a Man U fan you should try Betfred though I might wait till they get some rave reports first.

West Ham .

Which reminds me of a recent story involving my son at school when asked what your parents do at weekends, to which he replied....

"Well Miss, at weekends my dad dresses up as a woman and hangs around the docks selling his body for sex", the teacher asked him to stay behind after school, and said.....

"Harry, are you telling the truth?", his reply was... "No Miss, sorry for lying, my dad spends his weekends watching West Ham play football, but I was to embarrassed to say that".

Kids hey ;).

I`m off now to buy their new DVD of last season`s highlights - West Ham`s 101 best throw-in`s from season 2010-2011.

Seems like they are on target for a return to the PL next season. They had a playtech casino years ago though cant remember which one it was. XXL?

well
in fact
yes i am because in "futebol clube do porto" (my favorite team of all, team of my city) he has won

portuguese championship 2x
portuguese cup 1x
uefa cup 1x
uefa champions league 1x
intercontinental cup 1x

XXL?

The XL leisure group, can`t remember if they actually had a casino in their portfolio, the power of football advertising from a crap team had it`s desired affect though, they went into administration lmao ;).

But SBOBET.com are a sportsbook etc and tbh I really don`t know that much about them :o.

Not a bad game against Spurs last night. Seems they pulled a 'Stoke' on us... Parked a bus infront of goal...

Disappointing result for the reds, but we move on... YNWA :)

Did you see Swansea`s game V WBA?, a lot like the Liverpool from the 70`s, very mediocre go a goal down then boom, get the kick up the ass they needed and equalise straight away with a sweet 19 pass goal, then go on to win 2-1, hate to admit liking a Welsh team, but hell, these guys play sweet football ;).

They do - I really like their style of play. Being sponsored by 32Red makes it even better :)

As you can probably guess from my username, I'm a Preston North End fan.No jokes please.

We may have rivalries, most of my friends are Mancs.... we rip each other off, but We all have one common love - The Love for the game..... oh and gambling :)

Interesting enough:

In 1889, Preston North End became the first club to achieve the double of winning the FA Cup (beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0) and the Football League Championship in the same season. This double was even more extraordinary in that the league was won without a single defeat, a feat which would not be repeated in the top division until 2003–04, by Arsenal. Equally impressive was that the cup was won without conceding a single goal. Such was the team's dominance that it was nicknamed "The Invincibles".

Pretty hard to impossible to beat ya think?;)

Aren't PNE the oldest league club or something?

That Reds/Spuds game last night was a bit dire compared to Sunday's spectacle. I can't believe the two big signings of last January's window, Torres and Carroll have done so poorly. Torres in particular has lost all confidence in front of goal. Like Arshavin...wtf happened to him too? Weird.

I think this is true yes,I also think we have had our stadium on the same plot of land for the longest too.

We also went a full season unbeaten too before Arsenal did it but admittedly there weren't as many teams as when Arsenal did it.

Edit: (From Wiki) The oldest continually used football stadium in the world, in use since 21 January 1875.

True... Whilst Carroll has been a bit slow he has shown that he is picking up form. He has had a goal or two and a few assists in recent games. I suppose having Suarez and Bellamy did not give him a good consecutive run of games. With the absence of Suarez for 9 matches, he received just that and has improved.

Torres on the other hand should have not left Liverpool. He is a shadow of the player he was at Anfield. He has had far too much time and has done worse than Carrol TBH.

I always rated Andre Arshavin - Good player and impressed at the Euros a few years ago - What happened? You got me there. I remember he scored 4 goals against Liverpool, but struggles to get game time at Arsenal...

Torres had that injury at Liverpool that kept him out for a while and from what I can remember hasn't been the same player since. When you consider just how good he and Arshavin were when they first arrived - just how good they can be - it's perplexing. As a Gooner, Arshavin's 4-bagger against Liverpool at Anfield is one of the best memories of recent times (not a lot of competition on that since the 2003 "Invincibles" season though LOL).

Thats true - He wasn't the same after the injury, however he began looking more and more like a spoilt brat. If things didn't go his way, he would argue with the referees and look as if he wasn't interested. Well, Chelsea can keep him. As much as I love Torres, he was treacherous leaving at the LAST MINUTE. One thing he has to realise is that he was just a striker at Athletico Madrid - Liverpool made him into a World Player of the Year contender and made him one of the most loved players in the Spanish side...

Same goes for Javier Mascherano - Sitting on the bench at West Ham to Argentinian Captain and now Barcas Midfield.

As a Pool fan, I wont forget Arshavins 4 goal haul either, but it was end to end football 4-4 Draw in the End - Nice game!

Being from Merseyside I support Everton. It's the law. OK, OK, but it should be.
