Over the years I never warmed to Arsenal, but it's funny what a team like Chelsea can do to you!

Don't get me wrong I quite liked the 90s Chelsea when they were like a retirement home for veteran stars of the game, and before that in the 80s when they were a battling side with Kerry Dixon.

Since abramovich onwards they've been a consistent annoyance, football royalty has to be earnt the hard way imo, from the times when titles couldn't be bought by just buying up all the talent.

Admittedly, all the clubs are at it now, but if the money was taken out, then it would be the historically successful clubs who dominate again not the playthings of billionaires.

We did lose our legs and ideas. We are like the Keegan era but it it more tactical.
But fair play to the Sunderland manager. He bought a new team during the summer and I was scratching my head.
A top 8 place and he should be crowned manager of the season.

Didn't Dalglish sign him alongside Suarez iirc, or was that Henderson. Caroll had talent for a big guy, but something wasn't right, he peaked early and then declined, iirc in later years he scored a hattrick for west ham against arsenal (or I could be dreaming that!)

I suspect that for many players once the cash keeps rolling in motivation to train hard and keep trying must be pretty hard.

Greasy guy in corals bookies at the counter laughed at me when I handed him the bet slip! Silent, when I came back after the Final V AC Milan to collect!.

I comfortably got the Liverpool bet right and I can't complain about losing the Newcastle bet. Liverpool have always been my 2nd fave team since boyhood and I wouldn't put it past them to win it again.

But let's say i'd like to do some 'smart' bets, like outrights on top 8 positions in various leagues etc. - where would i start to look for a good oversight on all possible aspects of that bet? Like, do you guys have a good site to check the current team's standings and percentages, to maximize your statistical chances? If so where?

Or is it all gut and team love in here?
Either way, ten times more fun to watch sports when you have a bet running, at least to me!

Personally I do in-play bets and tend to stay away from prem league games unless its boosted odds of some kind. Usually betting on things happening in play with the smaller teams that you have to find inplay stats for on other websites, often that'd be fairly unknown teams in the middle of nowhere, which, sometimes, naturally will include Man Utd.

Not exactly a tip, just how I roll.

I tend to rely on gut feeling and I usually stick to games I am going to watch. Usually bet builders and other than betting on a player to score I avoid betting on exact numbers like 1-0 2-0 or exact amount of corners. Even a bet builder at evens will do for me and I never bet big.
