I'd been happily playing at Jungle Spins for around 6 months or so, never had any problems, I was verified and they always paid my withdrawals very quickly back to my PayPal account so way back in late February I thought nothing of it when I made four withdrawal requests for £266.00, £104.00, £90.00 and £85.00 amounting to £545.00, as always I expected to have the money paid within a few hours, little did I know what awaited me. As I said, I was verified but had not had the dreaded SOW request and this is what landed in my inbox, not the 'withdrawal completed' emails I expected.

I always thought that if you closed your account and the casino was UKGC licenced they had to pay you any balance in the account at the time of closure, so as I am against giving out personal details of my earnings I reluctuntly closed the account and expected to have the £545.00 paid to me.

How niave and misinformed I was, apprantley the casino can still keep your money until you have satisfied their SOW request, I argued with them about this for about a month but they wouldn't budge, I tried to open a PAB on here but they refuse to engage with third parties so that was a non starter, their arbitration service never even got back to me so after a while I swallowed my pride and asked them what they needed in order for me to get my £545.00 and thus begun just over 5 months of being royally fu***d about! I sent them my P60 HMRC form clearly showing my yearly earnings, but they then wanted an up to date bank statement which I sent, then they wanted proof of my PayPal account which I sent, then they wanted three months of bank statements, and then three months of PayPal transactions and on and on and I complied with everything, and weeks went by before I heard back from them, and then I'd get an 'update' email apologising for the delay as apprantley Netken had become another company (gracemedia?????, I can't remember tbh) and their security dept was very busy, and then.....FINALLY! today I happened to check my bank account online and there were the four payments which had been paid directly into it (not into my PayPal) they've sent me no emails to say the matter is resolved and tbh I don't give a f*** I've finally got my money, it's been a long slog but my message to any other players fighting the good fight to get what is rightfully theres is keep going, don't give up and don't let the Baastards grind you down!

Definitely worth reporting to the UKGC though - they cannot withhold your payment just because you don't want to comply with something they could have reasonably asked for prior to the withdrawal.

This is what I thought, but they seemed adament so I just assumed I was wrong, I think you're right and I will contact the UKGC and get their thoughts on the matter.

You were right - unless they had a reasonable suspicion of e.g. money laundering, they are not entitled to withhold a withdrawal when asking for information they could reasonably have asked for earlier in the process.

The right way would have been to pay out if you were already fully verified, and leave it up to you whether you wanted to provide more information to continue playing there.

It pisses me off when I read things like this. It's blatant.

How the UKGC are allowing things like this to go on whilst they piss around with taking autoplay off games is beyond my comprehension. UKGC, sort it the f**k out because, in my opinion, you're not fit for purpose at the moment.

Yes, if the SoW was actioned AFTER the withdrawals, then they should be completed first. They aren't permitted to use SoW to obstruct withdrawals. If you closed your account, 3 weeks it should have been settled regardless of SoW.

Thanks for confirming this, this is what I believed the rules were but they wouldn't budge and have taken me for a mug. I should have probably contacted the UKGC a lot earlier tbh. I have my money now, but am going to report it even so as it may help other players going forward. I remember emailing Jungle spins at the start of all this and saying words to the effect that 'it's such a shame that a casino I have great memories of and have enjoyed playing at had to let themselves down over £545.00' Now I'm going to drag their reputation through the mud at every opportunity that presents itself!

Casinos employing these tactics will only shoot themselves in the foot in the long run. Might yield a bit of short term profitability but long term they are done for as customers avoid the joint.

There's a reason why UK based casinos are booming...it was entirely forecastable.

To be fair, this group are paranoid about compliance and I had a similar experience at another group not long ago, when I quoted the UKGC rule they paid me (after I had shut my a/c).
