Just checked my emails and found this from Fantasino:

As part of our commitment to social responsibility, EveryMatrix have introduced processes aiming to provide you a better and safer gaming experience. We are performing reviews on our customers’ gambling activity for signs that might indicate problem gambling.

Upon assessing your activity, we have found that there are certain behaviors or signs that might indicate potential problem gambling. We kindly ask you to complete the below from as truthfully and accurately as possible.

'button for form'

The form will be reviewed by our Responsible Gambling Team who will get back to you with the results of the assessment, as soon as possible.

Best regards,
EveryMatrix Support

I thought I would log in as not logged in since i can remember - seriously must be a few months and never used their site loads anyway.

I am desperate to know what kind of behaviours or signs i have shown that might indicate problem gambling so tried to log in so i could grab my stats but my account is blocked.

Funny thing is I have no problem gambling, I am the most non gambling gambling man you will ever meet and it holds me in good stead. Gambling has changed my life for the better. It has afforded me a better lifestyle and a chance to get ahead. The only problem I seem to have are certain casinos.

I might fill out their form just for a giggle but I wonder how far this could go in terms of restricting my gameplay.

Has anybody else had this?

Edit: I have removed the link as I am not sure if i will get in trouble. Thing is cant seem to do right for doing wrong with these clowns.

2nd Edit: As far as I am aware I am in credit with them and have drawn more than deposited but cant log in to check. Reckon my lifetime deposits must be around £300 with them.

Lol... I had this today on behalf of Jetbull, where I haven't played for 5 or more years IIRC. I made 2 or 3 deposits there and closed the account as I don't like EM after the EMSEB nonsense and refused to play at their casinos ever again. How the hell that led to "Upon assessing your activity, we have found that there are certain behaviors or signs that might indicate potential problem gambling." I haven't a bloody clue!

Had the same today from Jetbull, obviously EM see this as a way of persuading the UKGC that they really do care about Responsible Gambling and they deserve to have their license unsuspended...... bolting horses and stable doors come to mind.

I never even did deposit and got that mail. Guess they really try to cover their ass. Nothing better then owning up the responsibility, aslong as they keep doing it. But untill someone actually high rolling there active comes and say they get the mail etc, it looks like they send it to customers they can afford to loose.

Now ive stopped fuming at being called a problem gambler, I agree and wonder how much of this has been forced on them following recent events

What a joke! They still aren't as bad as the big boys, William Hill. The UKGC seem to be hitting easy targets as opposed to the really big offenders who are getting away with murder.

So after a slip on the wrist from the UKGC, they now go into overdrive pretending to care but it is only for UK players, which is maybe 10 - 20% of their player base.

No such email has been sent to those outside the jurisdiction of the UKGC. The selective "caring for you" alone shows that they don't give a toss about problem gambling.

I wonder how they switch constantly between "caring" and "not caring" in customer support, risk assessment and security departments!

Nice approach to "review" all accounts now at once after failing to do not much for detecting gambling problems, now shit hit the fan, decide to send questionnaire to most of UK players, based on this thread, not much filtering accounts where actually could be seen some RG signs...

As it seems that players with almost non existing activity in lifetime and really nothing for long time, don't really explain that they now see some RG signs. If there are some bit crazy deposit day two years ago, is it right time to react to it now.

Asking some "RG questions" from players like many probably ´have seen some self tests etc.. is one way tool to spread awareness about gambling problems and maybe get some players realize that they might have problem, but would be interesting to see how extensive review will be based on all accounts if they receive few thousands of these replies a day... Many problem gamblers don't admit they have a problem but in very late stage when there is really no other option, i think they can't base these reviews what players are answering but really go through all account history to find some worriying patterns, go through chat contacts where playes are asking bonuses or giving RG signs etc... will be hell lot of work to do if done proberly or if just taking players word without checking anything else, then quite easy but not really efficient.

I also got the same email, mine was relating to Fantasino were i have only deposited 2 - 3 times max. And cashed out more then i have deposited. So im not responding to the email. They can take there survey and shove it.

Hope that at the time they try to get their license back and explain their new actions to prevent problem gambling, UKGC is also aware about this mass spamming to whole player base to fill in questionnaire, most probably it's not something they will find to be very effective. "We asked from all our customers if they do have problems with gambling and took some action with all who replied yes".

No idea how big their player base is, but to complete decent review for all players who reply to that questionnaire is hell lot of work and it can't be much more than rubber stamp yes or no, don't believe a second that all these accounts will be properly reviewed, if they would have any means to do that, it could have done already and send these questions to players they think are raising some concerns.

It's been raised by UKGC long time ago and in many cases where they have fined operators that spamming one same email template to all who trigger any sign of RG can't be categorized very good interaction to prevent and spot players with possible problems when you just keep spamming same email about limits, self tests, timeouts etc... But bit more personal approach and review would be needed, otherwise it would be very easy to comply with social responsibilities if sending same email for all every single time player make deposit and then afterwards tell that we have informed player about responsible gaming limits etc... 96 times this month only.

So what would happen if everyone who got the form sent it back with all the answers they don’t want to see?? If I remember correctly the email states that there are behaviours that could indicate problem gambling, are the UKGC going to ask why EM didnt take action at the time and give them an absolutely massive fine?

In most cases problem gambling is obvious. Massive deposits over periods of time, people playing 10+ hours a day. There are dead giveaways constantly

Guess it wont be long before being stopped at the supermarket checkout and given a lifestyle and health questionnaire before being allowed to checkout if you have more than 1 bottle of booze or several chocolate bars in your basket, the way this crazy country is going.

Also had the same amusing email. Made one deposit at jetbull maybe three years back.
Realised they where shite and never returned, how they are concerned about me is touching however.
Anyway of a list of every matrix casinos btw?

This is possibly due to their link up with beBettor, who they have partnered with, as they try to get their UKGC licence suspension lifted. This was covered on Casino Gazette here: EveryMatrix Take Action to Get UK Licence Reinstated

Yes, this looks like the beBettor survey mentioned in the press video from the owner. As the owner mentions, they will gather all of your playing information from all of your accounts - bet size, frequency, time playing etc and combine that with personal information such as age, area you live in, income etc and create a rating which goes back to the casinos (presumably with all the playing information data) based on your affordability.

So if your loaded, living in Chelsea then you'll be allowed to gamble? If your loaded, living in Jaywick then your affordability will be questioned? What about if your income is gambling? Say your lucky but living in a poor area with no regular income will your play be restricted even though your winning? If you are winning constantly is there an affordability issue and if not, the minute your account is showing minus how does this affect your score? What about players who, assumingly, plough week after week into a game like Bonanza seeking the one big hit that puts them in front?

The idea is solid. If your going to be looking at affordability then you do need to look at the whole picture. Its the execution and how the information is used which is concerning.

Yep.

I got this off Jetbull too. Yeah I am SE on GamStop but the whole account assessment it is crooked as hell.

I never even made s deposit there. This sort of tactic should not be allowed to happen.

What if a problem gambler had an account they had forgotten? They get that email, try their luck and hey presto, do their bollocks
