I agree - pretty useless on games where you have to "save up" something to get the feature.

Other slots I have seen silly free-spins on are Robin Hood & TR2. (At least on these, your achievements ARE saved).
I honestly think it's just because the promotions guy doesn't actually know much about the slots at his casino - all he knows are the RTPs and how popular the games are (or not, in the case of brand new ones).

I agree FS on Eggomatic and Big Bang are pretty pointless. I also think the FS on Starburst are equally annoying. Why can't the casinos do FS on slots like Twin Spin or even Wonky Wabbits? You may not win anything but at least you won't be taunted by that increasing multiplier on Big Bang or potential Goodies on Eggomatic that you have no chance of obtaining.

That is not correct at all. I won myself at NextCasino on 5 free spins actually won around £8. I then made wager and turned those 5 free spins into a withdrawal of £100. I have also seen examples of other players winning even more. Anything FREE is worth a shot.

I was pretty disappointed with Guts' Easter free spin promotion. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge advocate for guts, and always have been, but 40 spins on wonky wabbit and eggomatic were torturous. IMO, I have always found both games incredibly tight, so free spins on them is like pulling teeth.

I'm not sure future offers on these games will overly entice me to deposit at a particular casino. Lucky for guts they're one of my favorites, so will get a share of my money anyway. However, if another casino is offering a free spin deal on better games, then obviously that particular deposit will go to the site that I actually think I have a chance getting something from the free spins.

Well, I think that the fact that these spins can be useless, is the main reason why they are offered so often.
Casinos do know what games can do them the least damage Hence the most popular slot for signup free spins
