Sad news indeed, saw the band in '78 at the Rainbow in London.
A true innovator who turned the guitar world on it's head.
RIP.

I was thinking yesterday of that hot summer night back in August '84 as the sun was setting to his right and playing his trademark red guitar with white splashes of paint, doing the intro of 'Hot For Teacher' at Donington...

A major part of my rock music collection, great guitarist and performer, nice guy too.

Eddie, may you RIP and thanks for the memories.
