Hi All,
I have a quick question. I recently played at a casino and finished the wager and have $800.00 CAD to withdraw. I went to withdraw and the only option was EcoPayz (which I have never used). This seemed really strange to not have a bank transfer option. I contacted support and they said this is the only option for Canadians and in order to withdraw my money i have to deposit $20.00 using EcoPayz.

So I created an ecopayz account, verified identity, signed EFT document so that I could deposit 25.00 from my bank account. One day later the money came out of my account but it's been almost 4 days and it's still pending. Very frustrating.

My question for everyone is, how do you fund your EcoPayz accounts from Canada? Is EFT the quickest way? I got a warning when I tried to use CC since it says if I deposit with CC the money can't be used for Gambling. Argh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,

I love when banks and credit card companies decide how you are allowed to spend your own money.

Have you considered playing at a casino that accepts cryptocurrency payments like Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Monero, etc? It might be worth looking into.

I will look into the krypto. I'm a bit more concerned that the casino will accept MC/Paysafe etc... and the only option to withdraw is EcoPayz and even worse is - the only way I "can" withdraw, is to deposit again with ecopayz. Sigh..I somehow think not having bank transfer as a withdrawal option has to be against some sort of MGA rules?

I use ecopayz all the time.
To deposit and withdraw.
I have an ecopayz mastercard that I can withdraw at any atm machine. So that’s how I got my withdrawals. However that will be over in August. No more ecopayz mc for Canadians. So I will have to withdraw to the bank.

Most casinos I go to I can deposit via Paysafe, onetime mc debit and withdraw to ecopayz.
And then I go to atm machine. But as of August I will have to withdraw to my bank account from exopayz.

Depending on the casino you go to you will be able to do this to. But you must have used the option beforehand in order to withdraw. That is why they asked you to deposit. You have to deposit and withdraw via same method according to rules. I think they make exception with Paysafe and debit cards cuz u can’t withdraw back to them.

Thanks so much Steviedoo!! I mistakenly thought that an EFT was like interac and it would show up right away, but I've been waiting for a long time. Hopefully the money will be in there tomorrow and I can begin using EcoPayz since Interac seem to be gone for Canadians :(

Next time I'll fund Ecopayz with Paysafe, is that instant??

You can’t fund ecopayz with paysafe.

Only way to fund ecopayz is with visa and bank transfer.

You can fund casino deposit with paysafe and then withdraw to ecopayz.

Depends where you play but rizk and guts take interac I believe.

Check the list on the CM website for accredited casinos

Ecopayz used to be super to use. You could load instantly from your credit card, for a modest fee, if necessary. Even though the credit card was in US dollars, and you got hit with fees and exchange fees at an ATM, the convenience was great, especially for smaller sums if you wanted, or request a bank transfer and wait a week and pay whatever your bank charges ($14-$19 depending which bank). If you shop online at US retailers, it would save you money, and I got a Euros card before a trip to Amsterdam two years ago (you have to be a certain level of VIP to have multiple currency accounts). It was accepted everywhere but Uber (which do not take any kind of prepaid card, even here). It was a great fee-free way to deposit and withdraw from casinos if you were just using your balance as your gambling fund too.

Videoslots uses Citadel for their banking... payments to your bank account are not charged any fees by the casino, and arrive without fees to your bank. Wide selection of slots, I highly recommend you try them.

Thanks Steviedoo - i understand now. I had to do this bank transfer to start so I can use ecopayz as deposit method in order to withdraw.

dionysus, this was a new casino - it's actually great - lots of rewards and friendly customer service. I wish they would have stated prior that Ecopayz was the only method of withdrawal. They are blaming it on Canada, its not their fault - Where have I heard Blame Canada! before lol?

I'm not going to complain about this casino and name them because they have been as helpful as possible, it's just been so frustrating. If I finally attempt to withdraw and there is another issue, then I'm not gonna be a happy camper!

well, gl, but as they are new, be wary - your recourses are very limited if they arent accredited here should you have issues down the road.
Also, it might be good to name them - after all youve only said good things about them, and it's a good heads up for other Canadians so they know their options before going in.

Good point. Name of the Casino is Twin Casino (twin.com). Great game selection, rewards and customer service - TERRIBLE withdrawal options.

Welcome to my personal dream turned nightmare ;-)

Depositing up until a few weeks ago was easily done with visadebit.. then it was out of the blue discontinued. So.. You can buy ecovouchers at a number of gas stations/corner stores etc. If you're lazy like me I also found topmeup, you have to register and validate (takes about 24hrs) but then you get the code by email almost instantly after purchase and they take visa debit or interac.

Withdrawals were amazing, though a touch pricey at about $20 on the $300 any atm with the ecocard, but fear not.. they fixed that too.. effective mid august those outside the EU won't be able to use them at all so it will be down to bank transfer.

It's a shame because the very things that made them the ideal option for me are being removed, ewallet so fast casino withdrawal, accepted my visadebit and I could have the money in my pocket in minutes..

Then to make sure our relationship remains bittersweet they dropped $150 in my account last week as I won the week one draw for their world cup promo..

I have a prepaid reloadable CC from my bank and the last time I used it to fill up my Ecopayz account was back in March this year. I haven't had a need to use it yet since I am doing crazy well at gambling. If I can no longer use my prepaid CC to reload my Ecopayz account, this will suck. :/

I never could get my Visa / debit card to work for anything related to CC stuff. Not even related to gambling as well...

I do have a few sites that accept my VisaDebit, but many many more that don't.. compounded by them trying to accommodate us by adding Interac.. which you cannot use with a Visa?MC branded bank card.. it's either or (though I have heard tell of people who just demanded their bank gave them a second unbranded card solely for that purpose)

The real issue though is the withdrawal.. even if they take my visadebit, they can't pay me on it..(doesn't smack talk the recent decision of a certain favourite brand no longer accepting debit deposit and ecopayz withdrawal..and instead demanding bank transfer) Even the best bank transfers are still 24hrs+
I'm spoiled, Cashouts to ewallet in under 30 mins.. then it's mine to do as I please with right away.. the waiting kills me..

Not looking forward to it.

The casino's that use "PAYR systems" accept my royal visa debit. LeoVegas and all of the MG Viper casinos. I don't know if other casino's use this, but it would be helpful if they did.

Interac is down to only 2 banks now, RBC just killed it, Topmeup is a mess, I have bought thousand plus cards from them but cannot anymore, always times out, my BMO MC still works and that about it.

Ecopayz support is as helpful as always, I suggest they may want to prepare for the fact they are making themselves obsolete for this section of the userbase they just acquired.. somone is already getting a piece of the deposit fee they used to get because I use my visadebit to buy the ecovoucher, maybe just a non-MC branded debit card so they keep the ease of use for the customer and remain viable..

they reply that I can't use my visa debit for gaming, I'll have to use an alternative deposit method. They've passed along my suggestion.

So I'm prepping for "just use bank transfer to withdraw" and everyone going.. "ok... and using bank withdrawal at the casino"

Heads up to someone looking for a niche to exploit.. large userbase looking for an ewallet tailored to the actual needs of canadians, not filled with solutions that are slow, antiquated or entirely unusable.. Turns out we're willing to pay a premium on every transaction for it ;-)

Just play at Videoslots and use Instadebit. You will have your withdrawal in minutes. They have every game so why not?
