It's been working on my mind for some time - merely because I have played this slot over and over and kinda got a feel for its behavior. Since the Upgrade to HTML5 - Something is amiss for me and I feel that the Slot no longer behaves in the same way.

I have put this down to my very own Platinum Foil Hat or just the fact that I have not played the slot much at all compared to others.

I originally asked this question in the DOA thread, but since there have already been 3 answers, It would be fair to debate it in its own thread.

So - Is Twin Spin playing differently to you? Shitty Graphics or Visual Game Play aside - Do you feel that something has changed? If so, what?

Oh yeah! Netent Slots are reviewed at Casinomeister - to include their associated casinos! Woo woo!

You know what - I am very much not into foil hat theories apart from this slot! I have thought exactly the same since the change! And TS was one of my go-to games 10s of 1000s of spins - some of biggest wins the past 12 months on this game. And then it died. And i can tell you why there has been a change somewhere - before it would expand the reels 3 into 2 then into 1 and that was it
Now every few 1000s spins it does the odd one where it goes 3 then 2 then 1 then back to 4!! It never ever did that if i recall on the original and not one time when it has done that does it give a full 5 reels - not in my case anyhow. So something had certainly changed that way in the game. Plus been checking the RTP on the info given at VS and it has taken some real nose dives. And VS have NO data on this slot before the change as if it was never counted. Not blaming VS for anything and im sure they must be a "valid" reason the lack of historical RTP data ........

But i play this game less and less now. Have not wont squat apart from 1 time in nearly 2 months ... and have exactly 4 x 5 join ups in the same time. Its the only slot I count things on.

I don't know but it pays like shit now something in my book has changed!

If the original Twin Spin was hardcoded and unable to be changed, perhaps NetBent took the opportunity to 'tweak' a few gameplay issues and gave it a new facelift so as to say the changes were purely cosmetic

Take Adventure Palace for example. The original version was excellent, and then along came MG and changed its looks (why?)....now it plays much tighter just about everywhere. Same with Karaoke Party - it models itself on the classic 9-liner format but plays completely differently to Spring Break or Thunderstruck. It's always the same with the newer clones, start off OK for a bit and then the inevitable slow death.

The old games were not like this!!

And now it looks like NE have ruined Twin Spin for everyone. Looks like it's time for me to dust off the old tinfoil and let it sit proudly atop my head

Yes they are ruining everything. :( Twin spin used to be good and now it spins differently, the spin offs what I call it lol is not happening as much either.

Like Dunover says if its not broken why fix it.

It plays the same as Fantasini - Bad

My theory is that when Fantasini was commissioned by whichever casino had it exclusively (was it Betsson group?), it was ordered as a modified version of Twin Spin, with a flatter variance curve, rather than an exact clone of Twin Spin.

And when they came to do the HTML5 version of Twin Spin, they cloned Fantasini, rather than clone the original Twin spin.

My experience of the new version is very limited, as I've only had three sessions of play on it.

Session 1 - Awesome. Made a 700 x bet profit in one hour. Full screened As and 10s along the way. Probably the best session of Twin Spin I have ever had, both in terms of the size of the profit achieved and the time it took to achieve it.

Session 2 - Broke even. No 100x wins.

Session 3 - 300 bets wiped out in lightning quick order (less than half an hour). Felt like I was playing the turd on "kill mode". Probably the worst session of Twin Spin I have ever had in terms of a quick and expensive beatdown.

So based on those 3 sessions alone, I could be forgiven for thinking that the variance is actually higher than before.
But the sample size just isn't anywhere near big enough for me to get any sort of instinctive feel for how it plays.

You can still play the good old version at Betat/Slotty :D

But yeah, the new version plays awful:

- QuickSpin is now SlowSpin
- You have to click twice on the screen instead of just once to stop the win count and start the next spin
- If reels are expanding it opens up 3 reels the moment the spin starts, followed in quick succession by Reel 4 and/or 5. Suspense and excitement gone.

Try Lucky Angler in the old and new version, that is even worse. QuickSpin you have the impression somebody physical is standing on the BIG reels and turning each one by one sloooooowly. In Free Spins you have a pop-up after each spin saying: 8 spins left, 7 spins left etc.

Thanks for the comments guys...

I actually forgot to add that I have had all 5 Reels cloned no less than 8 times with not a single big win in the last few weeks... I would usually see them every 2nd / 3rd time. Maybe i will get them consecutively ... but the likelihood of that happening is slim to none...

I also played it on Mobile for the first time and had my biggest win ever - I think it was the max win on Bars for just about 1.9k on a 2 euro bet. Never saw anything like that on Desktop in 100's of thousands of spins...

I did mention Twin Spin in your other thread about Gnatent html5 games. The reels are less sharp, the sounds pathetic and like you I've noticed the variance seems different. It also spins faster so you lose quicker which could be what people are noticing. The clone reels 3+ occur quicker and with less hesitation to build that tension up. So yes, I absolutely avoid it now, doesn't seem kosher any more.:(

Hated it when they updated it but now im used to it and it feels strange when i play the old version at Betat. Had some nice wins on it as well, so i cant complain.
