Do you or a family member need a kidney?

Some of you may be aware of recent health issues I've had, but for those who are not, I had a bowel resection, and as a complication developed a uro-colic fistula, which resulted in a hole between by ureter and my bowel. If they unable to repair it (which I hope they can) they will remove my kidney, a perfectly healthy kidney. If you our a loved one is on a kidney waiting list, please contact me. I am ABpos, but even if I am not a match, there is a paired list...those willing to donate a kidney to trade or advance someone in their family.

Hi Jasminebed I just want to say to you that people like you make life so much easier and I want to Thank You for being a donor.
You are a special person in my book.I think this is one of the most thoughtful
thing anyone could ever do.
It's takes pride & a Loving heart and you will get rewarded in the end
Be proud it's a great feeling.
If you don't find anyone here please call the Kidney Foundation, and they will be happy to help you.
I ask everyone to be a donor and all you have to do is have it put on your license.Saving a life is just a great feeling in someone's life and to make someone live longer.
And on the other side of the coin I tell many if you can please go out and donate blood every 120 days They need blood everyday.
Your Life can save someone else's Life.
I am so Proud of you knowing I know someone on this forum that will help other people like this.
You made my day today.
I wish you all the best
Thank You
B-T Tom

Jasminebed, what a wonderful and thoughtful gesture on your part!
I hope everything goes well for you and that good health is in the very near future for you. :)

reminds me of juno. like moses and the reeds.

hey tom, is your blood still wanted if you're a stoner? just not a coke user or if you got tattooed, right?

organ donation is an incredibly wonderful gift.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for all the kind words gang. But I am no more "noble", "hero" or "altruistic" than anyone giving away their fat pants. If I can't use it, let's hope someone else can.

But if someone signs their donor card because of this thread, that's pretty nifty.

I have e-mailed ngb1959. But if anyone else knows somebody else, please post or pm me. A donor in someone's name moves someone up 2 points on a ten point scale for a cadaver donation, but if I am a match, I can make a direct kidney donation.

And I am selfish enough to hope that they can repair the tube, and I will still have both my kidneys.

You're not selfish, by any means :) With medical science the way it is nowadays, there's a great chance that you indeed will come out of surgery with all of your organs intact.

Bitter

The way health care is is my country, I would not be in this position if it was not for my inabilty to switch from a surgeon I knew was a problem, because I really needed the surgery. Paid Health Care (Yay) means you don't get to shop around, and there are always certain government employees..(nuff said, RIP Stan Lee)

Jas, I wish you all the best for a full recovery - I think what you are doing by offering your kidney for whatever reasons is one of the greatest gestures a human can do for another. :notworthy:notworthy
