Well, I have to admit that I watch some recordings for research purposes, such as Wins of the Week on CG or the Labovsky guy. A few observations:
- None of the people I watched are real gamblers. Why? They have no clue what a combo will pay. Any real gambler knows (I do) within one session what the symbols are paying, yet these people play the same slots over and over and then throw the hands in the air in sheer shock and disbelief, only to utter the words "How much is it?" or along the lines.
- Streaming is just a standard addition to increase revenue and streamers jump on the opportunity in the same way that somebody is opening a fish&chips shop.
- A deposit is called a bullet or other words which contributes to people losing the meaning of the value money has.
- The entire malarkey is akin the tower of Babylon. It will keep growing until it crashes and that will happen rather sooner than later.
- You watch early videos of them and they scrape around with $0.40, $0.50 and $1 bets, going mental on a good win. Just a short period later they slounge in their chairs, looking bored or trying to appear like the coolest dudes and dudettes doing $5 - $20 bets like it is the most normal thing in the world, without ever reducing them when the balance is getting low (as we all normal mortals do) and then stick another $500 in and another $500 or whatever it is, all without blinking with an eye or thinking twice about it.
- All the while they are like, I think the right word is "carnival barker", sign up here, sign up there, we checked it out, perfect casino, you get this and that. Yet, they don't even know the bonus rules for their offers.
Overall, I think it should not be allowed in the way it is done today. Displaying a 18+ logo and a few words saying "Play responsibly" is simply taking the p*ss when they throw away thousands in a short session.
Casinos giving them 100% and more bonuses for EVERY deposit are just as culpable and in my view big hypocrites because no normal player will ever be able to get such deals. Streamers should only get what others are entitled as it will give a real picture on what financial impact gambling has. But of course that is something casino operators do not want as they keep sticking it down our throats that gambling is recreational and fun, and they will do anything to keep that illusion.
