Do you find this odd?

Apart from the constant lag and wonky wheels that has been consistent on this site. Loading up LoD and finding my balance there 1 min, gone the next even though I had being playing for roughly a half hour straight.

It is not the first time either and also what bothers me is playing some slots and getting a pop up that I am going to be logged out due to 15mins of inactivity? While I have been actively playing for also roughly a half hour or more.

Is there something dodgy going on behind the scenes or am I just being paranoid and deviate to the Tin foil hat club?

Any thoughts on your view, would be greatly appreciated.

The thing is, as a web dev. It is just sloppy coding by the people who created the casino websites, I am sure there is ways to see a player is still actively playing a slot and then in turn stopping the pop ups for inactivity messages. Some casinos like VS do not even warn you or do any pop ups. They just proceed to log you out as soon as you close the slot or change slot.......... Or during it.

There is a workaround though. The best way to stop them is have a second tab open with the casino lobby open in it. Then every 5 minutes, just goto that tab and click on some tabs or just refresh the page in that tab. That will in turn stop the automatic systems logging you out or doing the pop ups.

VS though it does not always work. But VS I can stay logged in for 12 hours without issues sometimes or a single log out. Yet other times I get logged out randomly every hour or 2. It is strange but it is what it is, it is annoying as hell as well :)

EDIT: Please also note that workaround does not work in all casinos. Some casinos only allow you to be logged into one tab at a time. I think they limit it because they do not have much capacity on their servers.

I kid you not, I got logged out of VS after 5 minutes yesterday

Ok, Thanks RJ,

I will remove the Tinfoil from around my head now :)

Common sense prevails.

Thanks again!

Yep it happens to me sometimes too..... It is strange but maybe it is VS who we need to ask why it happens. Only they can fix it! Same for any casino with over active log outs or pop ups....

Probably help if you said which casino so others can say if it happens to them too?

I think if I name them it would open up a can of worms. But it shouldn't matter anyhow as this has been pretty much the norm since playing there. So, it's my own fault really for accepting sub par play.

It is basically session data and cookies that control sessions and logged in periods........ Some websites make it so you can stay logged in regardless if you close browsers down or computer down.

Casinos though always require you to login each time. Also they can set a logged in limit too or have a system to detect when a user is inactive and not actively browsing the site etc etc. They could go down the route of other websites, I do not know why they do not. I suspect though as I said, these casinos just do it for capacity reasons because their servers can not cope with the traffic. So it is a traffic management solution they are adopting. Big companies that do allow it usually have servers all around the world. So they can cope fine. For example, Google, twitter etc etc to name a few.

Personal preference: When I create websites I usually do create "stay logged in" options as it is far more user friendly. You just have to make sure the session and cookie coding in the htaccess files is correct and working as intended.

I will not get technical as that would be a very long post lol so I just said a simple easy to understand statement to best describe it.

I hope this also helps :)
