Hi All,

Is it possible that an MG casino doesn't allow players to set deposit limits?
I'm in shock... I asked them to set a deposit limit and they replied that it was impossible to do !!!... I've already set deposit limits to every casino I've played at !! (and it was mostly MG's)

They are LYING. It's possible, and I have had it done for me in many combinations.
Firstly, there are limits for individual transactions. These vary by method, and vary by casino, so there CANNOT be a "one size fits all - can't change it" for MGS casinos. Credit card limits are generally lower than eWallet limits, and there is both a limit for individual transactions, and an overall limit for what can be deposited per card/method/wallet within a set period of time.

If you are requesting a LOWER limit, it is bad for business for the casino to do this, because they lose the potential to entice larger deposit volumes from you. When it comes to allowing HIGHER limits, it IS in the casino's interests to do this for ESTABLISHED players who have been fully security checked, and have some history. This is usually done by allowing increases for VIP's by default, or on request.

Responsible gambling guidelines require casinos to have a method whereby players can LOWER their deposit limits, and/or self exclude.

MG casinos cant set deposit limits on webwallets only on cards. At least they couldnt set any limits to Neteller when I last asked in June. The MG cashier doesnt support it. So if you want to set a limit of, lets say 500/month, it cant be done.

The only exeption are the casinos with their own "banking system" like Ladbrokes.

Thanks for your replies...

Ok, now I can say it was at 7sultans ! Accredited casino I think.. isn't?

Ewooky: Hi
Ewooky: I was discussing with Karmar.. got disconnected
Jared : Okay, how can I help you?
Ewooky: Please set a deposit limit of max xxxeuro per month on my account
Ewooky: My id is 7sxxxxxxxxx
Jared : Unfortunately we cannot change limits Gregory, we are restricted from doing so by Microgaming as all players get the same limits.
Ewooky: what do you mean, I had already set deposit limit on every microgaming casino I've played so far... I just want a deposit limit of maximum xxxeuro per month.
Ewooky: to avoid overspending...
Jared : Gregory, we have unfortunately never been able to change these limits on our casinos, I am really sorry.
Ewooky: What? it's impossible. I'm going straight to Casinomeister.com to discuss the matter. I've NEVER seen a site where there arent any responsable gambling options.
Ewooky: unbelieveable
Jared : I am really sorry Gregory, I am just the messenger unfortunately and that is how it has always been here.
Ewooky: ok fair enough. Can you please close my account then?
Ewooky: and exclude me playing from your site(s)
Jared : We will please require a written request via email to [email protected] with your account details and we will then action your request for you Gregory. but I really hope you will change your mind.
Ewooky: Can you please request that for me please?
Jared : It has to be in writing via email unfortunately Gregory. Really Sorry:(

Thanks 7sultans casino !!!

Hi Spiderlegz,

I just see your post now about the ewallet deposits. I'm using Moneybookers.

I was able to set a limit with Spin Palace, 32red and Ladbrokes that's why I found it strange... But maybe I just played on the only three MG casinos having their own banking system.

Anyway, they should have close my account when I asked or provide me with a link for self exclusion and surely not asking me to send an email !

Asked today and they said that they cant do it for ewallets yet.

Altough I know you can deactivate your ewallet for a specified time.

It's Microgaming at fault then. MGS are a founder member of eCogra, yet for some YEARS their software has PREVENTED their client casinos from implementing one of the eCogra requirements (responsible gaming/deposit limits). eCogra is obviously OK with this arrangement, since otherwise MGS would long ago have been told to amend their banking system to support player set deposit limits.

The deposit limits for webwallets must not even exist. Long ago, I once was able to deposit 20K IN ONE DAY in the SAME MGS casino. To have this as the "standard" limit that casinos CANNOT alter on request goes beyond irresponsible design. The ONLY limit for ewallets seems to be the amount on deposit at the eWallet. THIS is the only place where a spending limit can be set, ask the eWallet to limit the amount that can be deposited inward from cards, banks, etc - although this will NOT prevent someone from losing a big win from one casino into another.

This is something that needs to be brought to the attention of eCogra as an issue that DOES matter, and it should not matter than the casino itself does not hold a seal, the problem is with the MGS banking software, which DOES affect nearly all the MGS sealholder casinos.

I have never had to request an increase in eWallet deposit limits, as there appeared to be no limit other than what Neteller was prepared to allow - which seemed to be everything that was available.

Non-VIP and new accounts at Neteller MAY have lower limits though, as this would protect Neteller (credit card in - deposit all at casino, then Neteller finds card was stolen and loses the money).
