Decent Limits on Caribbean 21

Does any know which casinos offer Caribbean 21 as decent-sized limits (say $250 and higher)?

It seems most RTG casinos now only have $5 or $6 max bets ...

One guy had a hot run at that game, and now all the RTG casinos are scared that there's some exploitable flaw in Carribean 21. So it's doubtful that you're going to get anyone to raise the limits. You might try asking bodog or inetbet. They seem to be somewhat reasonable, and might realize that it is in their best interest to allow higher wagering limits.

The 5.00 bet is default as set by RTG. Talk to your casino host and he can change your limits. I never had a problem raising limits for players. In fact personally called the "Pirate" and let him play in my casino at limits he wanted. The ev is still on the casinos side, and sometimes players do get on great runs, and that is what gambling is all about.

1.3 million sounds a bit more than a "great run." Im curious, what kind of strategy did this guy use, anyone know? I think if he wrote a book i would buy it.

I have seen 1 with a $250 max. Gold Standard Casino but I only was there once and lost so I cannot vouch for payment reliability. I am unaware of anyone who has had any problem though.

no real strategy, the casino in all of it's wisdom had increased his wager widow up to 20,000k per hand. With the doubles and redoubles you can build up pretty quick when you get on a run. This is a player who would buy in for 5 to 20k on a deposit, and be done in 10 minutes on a bad run. He got hot and pushed it. I saw a player deposit 40 dollars and run it up to 86000, than lost it all back in one session.

Not Exactly

I definately use a basic strategy. One readily available at the Wizard Of Odds. It was 10,000k max and eventually the min was upped to 5,000k for a table set at 5k min and 10k max. I also have never made a deposit anywhere near 20k unless I am forgetting something. To my recollection 5k is the largest deposit I've made that didn't include winnings already in the cashier nor have I ever finished a session in 10 minutes. I personally would not advise pushing the game or you might very well be done in 10 minutes.

I made a small deposit here, made a small profit, and was paid within a few days without hassle (no ID required).

Thanks everuone. I appreciate the advice. I've seen a couple of places offering $250 limits, but nothing higher.

It's a fun game.

I think once you establish yourself as a higher limit player with a casino, they may be more than happy to raise your limits. I'm sure they're always leary of people asking for their limits raised right off the bat after signing up

I would agree in both cases. Keep in mind though that the minimum bet is also a factor. I have seen $5 minimum with $250 maximum as well as $1 minimum and $500 maximum. The 1 and 500 has a better spread but will be harder to negotiate for.

Yea, they could definately lose their ass with a 1-500 spread on any game. This would also raise a flag for them....why have a high limit if you're going to play $1 hands at times? Smart by the player, but definately bad for the casino.

I can't remember which casino it was, but I found a $5-300 spread on BJ and had a field day with it ;)

Now that I think about it, care to name the casino in question that has a $1-500 spread??? Was that just Pontoon or BJ also? :D

Why is the spread important? Does the game switch to player advantage at some points?

Neither, it's Caribbean 21 and the 1-500 spread is something I attained after (as you suggested in an earlier post) establishing myself as a higher limit player thru regular deposits, tabletime, withdrawals and communication with mgmt. The limit's in the beginning were 1-5 like most others that even carry the game and the other "21" games were set for 1-250.

There was a time when the most common starting limits for Caribbean 21 were 1, 2, 5 minimums and 200-500 maximums. Most at that time had the 500 max. The limits were usually the same for all "21" games.

No, the game never switches to player advantage. The reason the spread is important (to me anyway) is balance longevity. For a $500 deposit you can play 500 hands with a $1 minimum and have the option to bet up to the table maximum (say $500) at any time or loose 500 hands before you run out of money. For the same $500 deposit and a table minimum of $5 you would get only 100 hands. Assuming the same $500 max that would be 100 shots at betting up to $500. Since there are any number of combinations for min and max the spread can be helpful when deciding where to deposit whatever amount you intend to deposit.

by the way, pirateofc21, did you got 1.3m of your win from that casino or some of it?just curious.

Thanks Pir8. My thinking was along the same line and I'm glad to see others share the same views on it.

I'm definately humble enough to sit there and play $5 at a B&M casino, then jump up to $100-500. I've had dealers comment "You're playing $100 at a $5 table?" and seem flabbergasted. I just have to roll my eyes and snicker :) But, you definately have to sit at the table for awhile and make sure people are playing like they actually have a clue before you start pushing the bets.

This is very true of the multiplayer tables at Online casinos. Most that I know of also have the option to create a "Private Room" or table where you and your buddies share a password to access that table. This is a great way to protect yourself and your balance from the clueless. As far as being humble goes it has definate benefits IMHO. Spreads tend to narrow as the max goes up so the larger spreads tend to be at the "humble" tables.

While it certainly might be nice to be able to bet as much or as little as you like, there's certainly no monetary advantage to doing so. You with me?

You do realize that unless you're counting cards, other players' play won't your affect your own results, right?
