The TRTPs are the same as they always were AFAIK I.e. they do not pay less.
What you're seeing is a trend toward low variance slots that are designed to give you smaller wins more often, which is good for meeting WR, but not if you are after some nice 1000xbet+ hits.
The games you said you have won big on are high variance, which means you WILL hit bigger wins, but they're few and far between. Its the reason why you "think" they "seem" to pay less than before. Without a detailed history or some RTP figures for your play over time, there's no way to tell if you're doing worse then before. If you examined your play history you'd probably be surprised as to how high your RTP actually is in comparison to what you think it might be.
One thing is for sure....the longer you play, the more you will lose, and the more your personal RTP will gravitate towards the TRTP of the slot.
I agree with Nifty on this one, and this is my gripe - NetEnt are churning out these 'Low Variance' slots at a phenomenal pace - They are geared at someone who is happy to go 500 Spins and walk away with $30.
In the same line, I doubt releases like Space Wars and even Reel Rush are low variance. They are terrible with blank spins and there are likely 100 - 300x bet hits sitting there.
The design of the slot spitting out more 5-10x wins doesn't leave much RTP left for the bigger hits. - Again you could easily lose 200x your bet trying to get a 50x PLUS hit...

Well, i guess they have found out that the lower variance slots are more fun for the average player who doesen't want to spend hours and alot of funds chasing the "big wins".

I hear you
The only issues is once you go like 100 - 200x bet down on those slots its almost impossible to recover. I have been the lucky recipient of 200 - 300x bet losses on those slots never peaking more than 20x above my start balance.
This is where I get pissed off... I could have rather played DOA with that, and even if I didn't win, I had the chance to hit something. StarBUST and the likes make sure you never get seriously ahead unless you increase your wager.
I have played DOA at all bet sizes - I had the 5 Wilds on 1.80, 90c, 45c, 36c, 27c, 18c and even 9c ... paying well over 1000x bet each time. I low roll often to smack a nice payout and the probability of me hitting that on Space Wars or any other junk low variance netent slot is impossible.
The Game KISS from WMS is more a True Low Variance Slot - Id much rather play that for wagering that any version NetEnt have.

Personaly im such a lowroller i rarely go down that much before busting. Usually i deposit like 10-20 and play on 0.2-0.4 If i loose half of the deposit i change slot, However when it comes to Starburst i have often had sessions where i win 30-40x that many times i can cashout 100-200 Euros.

Yeah, but it just seems before the slots would go on streaks.. Ive had maybe 10 + cashouts of 3-10 K euros. From winning spreas on different slots. Lets say gonzo starts of paying and then dies down i move on to thunderfist and then it continues to pay. to be honest it seems i could just pick any slot when its paying and it would pay. Ive noticed this behaviour everytime ive won big. Same when im losing i can switch slots but its totally dead! And when my balance gets low it just gives me dead spins for the remaining 20-30 spins almost everytime!
Im having a really hard time beliving that these slots are random. Yeah they might pay the advertised RTP, but im 100% sure there is some kind of "rigging" or something going on. Free spins and features fore example.. Its no way possible that they are random. Im 110% sure the outcome is allready decided for you. Also i know alot of you will disagree but im almost convinced its IP/account based.
Its just so many weird things and patterns that not only me but my friends who play also have noticed. There are clear patterns to the slots behaviour that reoccur and then it cant be random, they are programmed that way. Im not only talking about when im losing but also when im winning. You can usually tell when you start winning that now its payday. And usually you also know when its gonna suck you dry.
Has anyone ever tried playing Dead or Alive in two windows on the same casino site at the same time?
I have been doing this to speed up the game play. But something very strange happens when the bonus round comes out. ..Try it.

Hysterical. Yes, the first reel of the other slot disappears, then you get a bonus round on BOTH slots getting played out with different reels, but the other slot gives you a ZERO round as opposed to the other you actually get the real one on.![]()

...and free spin bonus rounds are COMPLETELY random, each spin COMPLETELY independent of the next... Definitely not just eye candy with a pre-determined outcome.
Funny.
