I signed up to American Grand Casino a while back, deposited, made a decent profit and made a withdrawal.

First the withdrawal was pending. They requested ID which I sent. Then, my account got locked, however support told me that my withdrawal is in progress. Then, American Grand seemed to disappear and when I try to load their software it starts a casino called Planet 7 instead

Anyone any idea whats going on here and whether i have any chance of getting paid?

It was Warren Cloud's rogue casino and Warren died while ago. You have never even had change to get your winnings anyway...

Look at Casino Meisters list of Rogue Casinos there you see American Grand Casino in Crystal Palace qroup.

Your account is now at Planet7 casino. You should be able to download the software and enter your American Grand user name there. If you have questions, contact their chat support.

American Grand was in our rogue section - I'd expect Planet7 to be there real soon as well. Just a heads up.

How about right now.

Some players were sent an Email from "Oliver Curran" telling them they had till July 31st to complete WR and access their accounts.

CLEARLY, and from other threads too, this was NEVER THE CASE!

The old casinos had already become unavailable before this Email was sent out, so this was an outright lie, and presumably Virtual had control of the casinos long before 31st July.

Will Virtual honour old balances, they say they will, but they also said players had till 31st July to complete WR and transactions under the old Crystal Palace group brands.

These new names will sucker in players fast, they are spamming like crazy, and currently, a search of your Rogue section will come up empty, and will seem to downgrade the risk of playing at these new brands.

They are also offering completely mad bonuses, 160% up to $24,000 to me, and I can supposedly take this on my first 20 DEPOSITS!!!!. THEN, so they tell me, I can repeat this at all the other 7 rebranded casinos.

Are Virtual going to run these 8 brands with more upstanding morality than they do the rest? They have had ample opportunity for a change of heart before, and have blown it!

Because I was being called for lunch :D

I received the same email (yes, I have stealth accounts to monitor these sorts of things).

But then I was informed that the casinos would be absorbed by other operators and rebranded. Therefore the players would be in no fear of losing their balances (unless they played :D)

How are we so sure that Virtual picked these up? I'm not convinced yet, but I'm still checking.

I can't log into my account because they disabled it a while ago (probably for "bonus abuse"), but support reckon I should get paid within 2 weeks. We'll see.

Surely this would be an even BIGGER reason for roguedom. CS are telling players who ask the awkward questions that they ARE now run by Virtual. If they are not, they are up to no good, and are going to let Virtual take the blame, and with their past reputation no-one will have any problems with Virtual taking the rap.

An alternative explanation is that Virtual ARE running these, but are deliberately trying to hide this fact, and CS are unwittingly "letting the cat out of the bag", and Virtual are trying to distance the brands from the rest of Virtual as a "fire fighting exercise".

There is a very good business reason for Virtual to do this, 8 "new" casinos along with an existing player base, and the ability to market these to new players without said new players having any idea that they might be playing at "the queen of rogue city".

You could add them to the "Not recommended" list under "unconfirmed operator/owners" - this should be enough to scare away wise players, and newbies would probably not check anyway.

Are RTG refusing to say who runs these new/rebranded casinos?

I think you are referring to one episode where the chat csr said they were part of the Virtual group. Damning as that may seem, it's still not enough to convince me. Chat reps have been known to make erroneous statements in the past. It's just not the evidence one needs.

Could be - I'm still checking some sources - hope to have some answers soon.

Does it really make a difference whether or not it's virtual or the old Crystal Palace casinos? It's still probably the same management: different color - same flavor. A rogue is a rogue.

Nope, there are on the same page as Crystal Palace. They are confirmed rebrands and in full operation.

Due to confidentiality clauses, I can't think of a software provider that will confirm the ownership of privately held companies. RTG being one of them. But there are ways to figure this out ourselves without having to ask :D

Admin Note: thread rebranded

Thread rebranded from "What happened to American Grand Casino?" to " Crystal Palace Rebranding Casinos"

Maybe so, but when said "private company" is going to be handling large sums of player's cash, and being made privvy to the most intimate personal details of players who cash-out, we have very RIGHT to know who we are supplying our money and details to. While private companies do not have to provide details of ownership, they do at least have to give a trading name, and when handling money they also have to register with financial regulators.

RTG are simply aiding and abetting their operators with any deceptions, and being based in Costa Rica can get away with it.

I am happy the new names are listed under "rogue". Players who are trying to do the right thing and checking your rogue list before depositing should at least know more about the risks they are taking.

I hope that further investigation will reveal more, and we may even see a rep come along to "fight the fire", and give us all the opportunity to ask questions, and hopefully get some answers.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one Vinyl...:eek2:
