Hey guys,

i know that this is the part from maxd to warn but i wanted only to point out.

Users where playing at these two brands should be aware of this crappy rule.

They accuse irregular bets on this rule and confiscate winnings.

general t&c:

Placing single bets equal to or greater than 30% of the value of the deposit.

Due to extensive game manipulation, this applies to all players, regardless if they have any bonus or not.

Cosmik confiscated winnings

I played at Cosmik once, and once only! Tried to withdraw and had over £400 confiscated due to this irregular bets 30% rule. However, their wording was along the lines of 'single bets not to exceed 30% of deposit'. I disputed this fact as my wager was made up of a multiple bet - 5 paylines of 2 euro, TOTAL bet of 10 euro (something like 33% of deposit value). I had a winner of 200x line bet value, namely 2 euro (6.5% of deposit value) and a few other wins.

They confiscated ALL my winnings, despite the fact that £180 was won using bets under this 30% rule, before upping my stake to 2 euro per payline (10 euro total bet).

I now note they have changed the wording on their T&C's to accommodate the rule as 'Total Bet' instead of 'Single Bet' following my dispute. No chance of getting any money out of them though!

How ironical that the next casino I open an account at almost a year later has also unfairly forfeited my winnings. Are all casinos crooked to some extent?!?!?!

The screenshot clearly shows a single bet value of 2 euro (6.5% of original deposit value), which is what the payout was based on. They argued that their T&C's are not open to individual interpretation, even though they were misleading - proven by the fact they changed the wording straight after my dispute!

This is the bullshit part, the first part is acceptable, the limits are to protect against "bonus abuse".

If they are so concerned about "game manipulation" being possible by betting large WITHOUT a bonus, then they should just get some proper random games from a reputable supplier, not the obviously "rigged" games that can so easily be "extensively manipulated" through such simple betting techniques.

Using archive.org , October 2012 version of terms has
Placing single bets equal to or greater than 30% from the value of the Bonus credited to the player account, prior to the wager requirement for that Bonus having been met.

It doesn't matter what somekind of gameplay history interface shows. Slot interfaces usually have "line bet" or "coin size" or "coin level" and then the sum of those line bets titled "bet", and the only really reasonable interpretation is that "single bet" refers to the "bet" of single spin. It is pretty easy to get casinos to add unnecessary clarifications if you complain, that doesn't mean that by adding that unnecessary clarification was necessary, they just do it so that they don't have to have the same debate with the next wiseguy.

That 30% limit on bet without any bonus money is silly though.

How ironical that the next casino I open an account at almost a year later has also unfairly forfeited my winnings. Are all casinos crooked to some extent?!?!?!

If you try to pull similar "It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is" tricks on other casinos, they will also probably try to confiscate your winnings.

I fell foul of this rule only slightly but they enforced it and I lost about €30,000. Tried complaining to the LGA stating that this was a most unusual rule for a casino, but they just fell back on the old "tough - you should have read the T&C" line.

What makes it worse is that they said they would refund me my €3000 deposit and I even had an email from them stating the withdrawal for this had been successfully processed. However, I checked both my Skrill and bank accounts and the money never arrived and despite chasing them up for over a year, they still haven't paid me back my €3K.
