So on Saturday night some guy went to the Batman movie, sat way in the back half an hour before the movie started. Security noticed he had a bag, and asked him what was in it. He said it was medical supplies, but when they searched the bag found found a Glock with a couple extra clips and several knives. So they arrested him.

Now his lawyer is saying that he brought the weapons for self defence, because he was scared some lunatic was going to go on a rampage.

After they went to his house they found all sorts of weapons, so I suppose if he was really planning on shooting up the place he might have brought more...? I don't know but his story seems fishy to me. He said he was afraid and that's why he brought weapons - he also said he didn't really plan on seeing Batman, it was just coincidence that he ended up in that theatre.

So uhhh...I'm afraid for my life to go to a movie, but I go anyhow and don't even care what movie I see?

And some other guy got busted with weapons and a newpaper clipping about the Colorado shooting in his car outside a theatre just two days after it happened. So is there now going to be a wave of this kind of stuff happening?
