ok spill it gamblers, whats your strong and weak points as a gambler, let me start..

strong points:if i win ,ill cash it out and not reverse it

weak points: i chase losses (bad)

how about you guys:)

Good thread. Let's hear those confessions!

Weak points: I chase losses, too. I also reverse withdrawals sometimes  My biggest weak point is probably that although I understand the numbers reasonably well and I know what I should do to gamble smart, I gamble like an idiot anyway, can't be bothered to claim bonuses and play games such as Keno.

Strong points: Promised myself to seriously limit the time and money I spend on gambling this year. Have managed to keep my promise very well, and been quite happy to gamble much less. Have also resolved to start gambling smart in the very near future.

(My current binge notwithstanding...but I've deserved this one:) )

Gotta work on those weak points

Cheers,
SM

Hmmmmmmmmm.......

I will bet on anything, at anytime and I won't stop until my money has run out. (Yes, I'm sick).

One of my worst sessions was 4K which lasted about 1 hour playing roulette.

Niiiiiiccceee.....:eek2: :eek2:

PS - Ive also been known to walk home several miles as I have put my last 1 in a fruit machine.

Weak point for me is getting so crazy mad when having a bad poker session when im at tables with people who play any 2 cards.

I rant and rant and rant some more at my poor screen:eek:

The only strong point for me is the number 9 at craps, nearly always make a 9:lolup:

strong points: I don't risk too much my money betting high, so sometimes I can spend 8 hours having fun on a small deposit.
weak point: the strong point I have just mentioned, because I never win big money betting low and because I am living in front of the computer (I am starting having problems to my right harm...)
another weak point is that I play mostly slots.
another weak point is that I chase the big jackpots and after that my losses:eek:

I could say something, but I'll be good, lol. :D

Interesting thread..

My STRONG point as an ONLINE gambler is that I rarely ever play Slots. Well, I don't know if that counts as a strong point for you, but to me it does - I'm positive that I would have lost many $$ playing the slots - but then , who knows...

My WEAK point as an ONLINE gambler is that I get greedy often - as I hear these voices "Come on, press the small deal button, just ONCE more" . I REALLY need to work on this one...
And (that's my 2nd weak point and perhaps the most crucial of the two), very often recently, when I lose this very single hand I was looking for , to call it a day, I raise my bet, and then raise it a bit more, and then *poof* my bankroll reaches zero! :eek2: :eek2: Well I guess everybody had these moments, which are somehow necessary in order NOT TO TAKE YOUR WINNING SESSION FOR GRANTED, when you're having one....

However, when I visit a B&M casino, I set to myself both winning AND losing limits. I always play BlackJack, and whenever I reach my winning limits ('cause I've never reached my losing limits, fortunately) I immediately call it a day. And that's my STRONG point when it comes to OFFLINE gambling.

Weak point: Reversed a $4K cash out at River Belle back in Late Jan 06 and still kicking myself for it.

Strong point: My right arm is not aching.

Strong points:
I don't make high bets unless I'm winning... I'm also quick to cash out which typically leaves me ahead of the game.
Weak points:
I give said cashouts back to the casino and end up behind again... lol
I don't know when to quit!
On payday, instead of thinking about paying off my ever growing credit card debt or putting some cash away for the 2 vacations I need to take this summer for weddings, I'm thinking about how much I can deposit and where I should deposit it into.. lol
Gamblers never learn...

Strong point: I set cashout levels.
Weak point: I ignore those cashout levels more often than not, and not once has it done any good.

I'm gonna start with the weak points because I think I have a few, so lets see.......

I often play above my roll and go for a big win quick, I chase losses sometimes until I cant keep my eyes open, I reverse cashouts (unless its flushed) then ill probably deposit again. I double up to much on VP. I play slots and always believe i'm due a big win.

This is my biggest weakness, I understand all the numbers and why the casinos cant lose (in the long run), I know statergy for several games and locations for stratergys should I not have one. Why is this a weakness you may ask, well because I just cant act on what I know. I'm inpatient and impulsive always wanting the quick big win instead of grinding it out.

Strong points, lol, when it come to gambling I dont think I have any all my sensible senses go out the window. My strongest move was probably paying off a lifetimes worth of gambling debts when I hit the Rags JP totalling about $65,000.

Strong:

It seems I can be spectacularly lucky on the slots - hitting some dream wins at some nice denominations.

Weak:

I get the classic gamblers stupidity where, because I sometimes hit nice wins, I assume I'll eventually get another one in a session - even when that session has meant another deposit, and another, and another etc etc...

I don't know the meaning of a bankroll.

There's no logic to anyone who plays a game that they KNOW the odds are against them!!! Heh hee..

Strong: I cash out when I'm ahead and don't reverse. I deposit small, bet small only betting $2.25 or above briefly if I'd had a good hit. I try to play mostly VP. I gamble only with money set aside for gambling.

Weak: Chasing losses. (Like this weekend, deposited more than I normally do and still lost it all -- fast.) This is a recently acquired trait as I now experience unbearably long losing streaks between puny cashouts. VP has been eating me alive for months, and I find myself going on tilt and playing slots.

my strong point...

Only depositing when i have cashed in my previous winnings (via cheque)

weak point...

Not cashing out when i i am on a losing streak

Good thread!

Weak points;
When I've taken a large bonus I try to do a 'Slotster' & bet big on slots - and lose half of my bonus in 5 minutes :(
I stupidly keep going back to games I just know are gonna take the pee (and my dosh) while laughing in my face:- Bejeweled, Let 'em Ride, Thunderstuck, MG's PaiGow, Lucky Lady, Inter's Pontoon, MG's UK Fruities...:(

Strong points;
Quit when on a good run, not pushing my luck too much.
Happy to low-roll all the time (except as first weak point).
Almost never deposit without getting at least 50% bonus.
Never 'reverse withdrawal' - what is that anyway??
I make profit 9 out of every 10 months!

I have all weak points that you, guys, listed.
The most stupid habit I aquired recently - I cash out only round sum. For example, if I win 245, I try to get it to 300 and if I get 303 then it must be 400 and so on. At the end I finally get the round sum - 0.
The weakest point - I can't stop in time, if I win. I know exactly from my personal experience that casinos allow you to win to certain amount and no more, but I keep playing..
Strong points are few - I rarely reverse, I don't risk too much (is it strong point:confused: ), I don't gamble my rent and food money:)

Strong points: I cashout when I have a 30% profit on my deposits. And I dont reverse my withdrawal.

Weak points: I cant play until 50% profit on my deposit.
