Complaint to the Maltese Gaming Authority

Afternoon all,

Can I please ask if anyone has had a reply and resolution to a complaint made to the MGA?

I made a complaint to them in December and have still not had a reply.

Not acceptable in my opinion when the casino is still trading and now advertising on UK TV.

Many thanks

The MGA won the CasinoMeister "Sitting on One's Hands" award 4 years straight. No-one wins that prestigious award without being seriously useless. :p

The best course of action, if they are not in the Rogue Pit or on the No-Can-Do list, is Pitch-A-Bitch.
Max is far from useless and will act much quicker than the LGA

Stuck between a rock and a hard place there OP.

The Maltese LGA are as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.

Netbet (not to be confused with casinos of a similar name) were the heavily rogued casino770 and IMO are not to be trusted.

I had a legitimate PAB against them and they were totally intransigent and that was for a minor amount. If you PAB I wish you better luck than I had.

Thank you all for the replies.

KK and Dun you are both right about the PAB but I also fear it will be in vain.

It is the same complaint at Netbet (formally Casino 770) as suggested.

I was very hopeful when I first signed up, £20 deposit turned into nearly £1k which was paid within 3 days so I was happy. My 2nd deposit then turned into the "vanishing feature" malarkey.

I will PAB as suggested but will take Max's advice if it is worth it or not.

Many thanks again all.

Max will have no objection as he helps everyone who has a valid case, and Netbet (not to be confused with casinos of a similar name) do communicate with him as I know by experience. I don't know if your current M LGA case will have a bearing on it, but I'd trust Max more than those shysters who are simply flag-of-convenience revenue collectors and rubber-stampers.

I find it odd that they paid you nearly 1k in profit on sign-up then messed about for a second w/d.

Remember if you file a PAB you can inform us that you have done so on the thread, but cannot discuss the intricacies in public.

Since they advertise on TV, it's worth bringing this to the attention of Trading Standards and the ASA. Whilst there may be little they can do for now, it will create data for next year when ALL operations that market to UK players will have to hold a UK License, which of course will mean direct UK regulation, and compulsory participation with UK complaint resolution bodies. Many operators hide behind the LGA, and some ONLY recognise the LGA as a legitimate disputes resolution body, which as we all know is an intentional farce so that operators can get away without being held to account.

PAB and eCogra resolution is also an option for many of the LGA regulated operations, mostly the legitimate ones who have chosen the LGA for tax reasons, rather than the ability to get away with mistreating players.

Next year, there will be no tax advantage in choosing the LGA for UK focussed operations, as they will still have to register to pay the UK tax on profits, and hold a UK license on top of the LGA one.
