Per our chat Vinyl, has this slot completely gone? I Googled it and a few websites brought up screenshots of the slot (I've never seen it) but some sites reckon it's still available.....or are they just very out of date?
I checked for it at Inet, Club World, and Rushmore. Gone at all three - no explanation offered (none needed though
).
Also gone is Big Heist - used accumulation of 50 "safes" to unlock a bonus, in this case a secret one, whereas the Frozen Assets counter was visible, and players knew EXACTLY what 200 snowflakes would pay. Also gone seems to be "Super Diamond Mine", and in this game 99 accumulated diamonds grants entry to a feature game, although it does not pay particularly well, and you can end up with nothing at all.
Virtual group knew full well about Frozen Assets, and had a term that said that if any bonus was wagered on the slot, the casino reserved the right to "reset the game" back to the original state of zero snowflakes. Now, this should be very damning of RTG software, but no-one ever made an issue of it, but in essence it means an individual operator can go into one of these games on your account on a whim and "reset" away any value you have built up - even if this was NOT done with bonus money. This contradicts reassurances that operators do NOT have this kind of "tampering" access to the back end, and removal of these games negates this having to be done more widely because of the revelations of the method by New Orleans. RTG probably decided to act now, rather than when it was a big issue, and they were faced with many investigations. As I mentioned before, there are likely to be some very angry "bonus whores", especially if the games vanished while they had snowflakes, safes, diamonds, etc stored up and raring to go. It is probably their fault though, they should have kept up to speed, and cleared out their "positions" because of the risk RTG would be FORCED into action.
If VIRTUAL were aware of this for ages, why weren't RTG, or indeed other operators. SOMEONE designed these games, they clearly didn't think things through properly.
