Both are beautiful pictures Mark and the mountains in the background look just like the ones here in North Georgia. The snow is also beautiful there. How in world did you end up deciding to buy real estate in the Czech Republic when you are in Hastings in the UK...did you just decide one day to get away, like way out of town or something ? :D...lol

Those aren't mountains - just some hills.
The mountains are in the opposite direction about 10 miles away - good for (cheap) skiing
My wife is Czech. 3 years ago we decided to look for a property as an investment / holiday home. As houses here are about 6-7 times cheaper than in England, it was no problem to re-mortgage our English home to raise the cash to buy this one - about 5 miles from where her parents live.
As a kid I used to live in the countryside (Somerset & Devon) - so this house on the edge of a tiny village takes me back to those simple care-free days. I love it!

It looks like a wonderful place Mark. I love that old fashioned attractiveness and charm of a quaint village type setting that it appears to have. How far is it from Prague ?

It's 129 miles due East of Praha = way out in the sticks!
Prague is a very beautiful city and definitely worth a visit if you're ever in this part of the world, but it is very commercialised (like most cities); restaurants & bars there charge 2 or 3 times more than we pay out here
The house consists of 2 x 2 bedroom flats, one of which is empty most of the year, so if you or any other of my CM friends are interested in a very cheap vacation in remote central Europe - just PM me & we'll see what we can do for you! ;)
