There's psychological damage when you lose that kind of money, personal recriminations etc... plus he's got his family situation [without going into that] but it's all stress which doesn't mix well with gambling and access to funds.

It wouldn't surprise me to see someone get into a position of being very well off from the world of gambling and affliation/making YT videos and then they gradually lose it all back, due to the psychology, so need to be very careful in that situation.
