Had withdrawn in profit from Sky Vegas about 2 months ago and fancied depositing somewhere again, and remembered they had Williams slot's which I really enjoy but best of all not many of the disgraceful Netent slot's (more needs to be said about these awfully one sided slot's).

Anyway picked a slot but it loaded up Day Of The Dead instead and im amazed to see 48 free spin's, don't remember seeing an email about free spins and I would have played these at the time unless I had logged out fast by mistake, played the spin's and won £81.00...nice surprise!!!

Just a happy Monday story amongst the gloom

Received an email earlier today about their 'Gold Rush' promotion, recommending I log in & check my account. Duly did so. No free spins, but there was £10 bonus. The down-side is that this could only be used on their mobile roulette or blackjack, but the up-side is that it only had a 1x playthrough :)

Unfortunately lost it on a single hand of BJ... Easy come, easy go

You must have been playing blackjack or roulette before this then. As I checked and can only be claimed if stake £100 or more then £10 will be given. :)

It's fair to say I've played a little bit ;)

but I am suprized sky vegas would allow roullete though as you can play safe for the wagering i.e red or black
Betting £5 on black AND £5 on red on the same spin is even safer than betting black or red. You're not going to win anything (but have a small risk of losing should the ball land on zero), however this would be £10 wagered. (That's usually why casino's exclude roulette (or have an insanely low contribution) regarding playthrough on bonuses).

I think they've probably reviewed account history first... I generally never take any bonuses & I've made a number of deposits and withdrawals from their site. I guess they have me classified as low risk in terms of bonus abouse / advantage player.

but does sky vegas actually review peoples betting historys then

I cannot say for absolute certainty that Sky do this, (as I've never worked with or for them). However all the casino's I have worked with constantly review their customer demographics (age, gender, location, etc) & analyse activity (deposits, wagers, games-played, etc). From this information, targeted campaigns are created & it does appear that's what has happened here.

Sites could (and do) send out the same promotion to all players, but these can often be less effective. E.g. 'Deposit now & get 5 (x10p) free spins on a slot game' is not likely to be very attractive to a player who only plays table games @ £100 avg bet.

Hope this helps / makes sense.
