Why do casinos always send out emails such as: "You have 50 freespins in your account", "Try our new game with 20 spins on the house" and so on only to realize when reading the email that in order to get those spins you have to deposit....

Here in Norway there are strict rules on advertisments. Do the casinos have free room to send out such missleading promos?

Unfortunately it seems that they can just about anything when it comes to advertising. If a casino I have deposited quite a bit on does such things I usually contact their live chat and say that I expect them to stand for what they have said. Especially if they send SMS without any terms, as some casinos have done to me.

To me it says alot of the ethics and morale of those involved in the casino doing it. It basicly says they are not shy of lying to anyone just to get money.

Yep been said many of times, I find it complete out of order to be sent emails staing free and its not.

Another 1 today of lucky dino, Spin´O´Saurus - Free Spins for everyone! There are not free, At least put in the subject line

(free spins deposit bonus) Or something along them lines, They will not get a deposit of me from that email due to the fact,

It's definitely on the increase but it seems like a peculiar business model to me and very short term thinking.

Especially if a deceptive promo is going out to a casino's existing customer base, do they think that the bad taste left in the mouth will just vanish before the next promo is sent?
If a casino sends me a promo that turns out to be a lie and a waste of time I'm likely to ignore all that company's promos going forward!

Maybe there should be more consideration of the saying 'Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me'.

Well said,

Yes, it also puts me off from playing. They should atleast throw in lets say 10 free and say if you make a deposit you get an extra 20,50, or whatever.

Well, technically these aren't Free Spins but Deposit Bonus Spins.
Each casino that sends these falls lower on my casino bookmarks and on deposits.
Also stuff like "Deposit €10 to start off. Win €5 on a single spin on all of the four games below and we will top up your winnings with an extra 50 free spins. This offer is applicable for the following games:
Starburst, Twin Spin, Gonzo’s Quest and Lights." gets deleted right away and casino falls wayyy down.
All in all actual free spins have been getting fewer and fewer during this year.
GUTS is a nice exception, respect for that.

I also forgot to mention, 99% of time they also come with a wager attached, & alot of time I bet people do not relies when they make that deposit & use free spins (so so free spins) than b4 you no it the spins came with a wager you either cannot withdraw or you broke rules by spinning to high or playing wrong games, All for a few spins, Another entrapment, Even wosre is when they do not give you max lines either
