Damn, I had Steve Buscemi, thought it was the island or tree's lounge,(only two bar scenes that came to mind) and wasn't sure if it was velvet underground or dire straights but the guitar said strates, couldn't guess the song though.

I knew the film instantly, but I also had an idea it could be Dire Straights since I have heard them a lot. But google is your friend... I just googled the film music from Desperado and there was only one Dire Straights song from the film.
