This site has taken a considerable amount of money from me in deposits and is not processing any withdrawal now that they owe me money. In addition there is no way to contact the site as the telephone number provided does not work, emails are bounced back from their support address and the online chat facility is very seldom open and when it is, does not work.

They claim, on their site, to be licensed (no 127475) and controlled by the Gaming Authority of Curucao. I could find no such body when searching on the internet and when I contacted Curucao eGaming they had no record of the site. I would very much appreciate your advice. If I cannot get my money, I want to ensure they are held accountable and they cannot do this to others.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

This site has been blacklisted on pretty much every site I can see, except for some scummy site which appears to give every casino 5 stars and not only includes all the blacklisted ones but also highlights non UK sites where UK players can play.

Bottom line is that based on what I have read across the internet your likelihood of getting your money back is minimal. These were the reviews

"we decided to give Casino Venetian a Very Bad reputation - We don't recommend playing at it and strongly advise you to stay away from it. "

" Casino Venetian is rated 1.4 out of 5 and is BLACKLISTED "

" We strongly advise that players will play at other casinos. "

There must be some way to stop them operating. Do you have any ideas/thoughts?

No there isn't a way to stop them operating.Even if their Curacao licence is genuine it is worth diddly squat and unfortunately you have been ripped off by one of many of the rogue outfits out there. Sympathies, but please in future only play at one of the casinos on the accredited list at CM and never ever deposit at a casino that is only displaying a Curacao licence, genuine or otherwise.

So they're able to operate fraudulently and essentially steal money without any consequence whatsoever? Are there no online gaming ombudsmen? Can they be reported to the browser providers?

There is a site called wishcasino that rates them 5/5 and praises their customer service (there is literally zero customer service). I can find no way to contact the site or the author of the review, Ian McMillin. Do you have any ideas as to how I can track these people down? Thanks in advance.

wishcasinos you mean? Yep a scam affiliate site promoting criminal casinos to UK players mate. The chances of the operator being Ian McMillin are about the same as you being paid. The modus-operandi of these scam sites is to make them look credible as if run by other Britons, often with a bogus photo of a person with a false name, usually boasting a Phd in law or something. All part of the smoke and mirrors mate.

It depends on how you define operating fraudulently. They do not hold a licence issued by the UK Gambling Commission which means that they on paper they are not permitted to accept players from the UK signing up to them But of course they do..Some of these outfits display details of a Curacao licence (which may or may not be genuine) to give the appearance of respectability but these are basically worthless as there is no recourse for UK players to take any action against them.Curacao let's say are not the strictest when it comes to the issuing of gaming licences. There is no gambling ombudsman in the UK in the sense that you are referring to and as the casino legally is not supposes to accept UK players in the first place, there is no course of action you can take..Possibly other members of the forum may be able to provide further advice but i think that you will just have to put this down to experience.

Yep, they stole money from me as well - gave me back my initial deposit after I won (2 weeks later) - but never paid out the winnings despite multiple emails and promises to do so. Chat is non existent.
I gave up. They gave me this email - as the one on their site doesn't work. [mark.casvene@gmail.com]

The people behind this site are the lowest scum of the earth, what goes around comes around. Its shocking that nothing can be done to stop these people. I hope they meet a horrible death and lose all their money.
No chance of getting any money back, just warn everyone to stay away.

I woud'nt say "fraudulently" since it was you who agreed when signing up, and doing a deposit. You should have done your homework a bit more. It's wisdom to simply hit the url in search with "reviews" behind it, particular put +forums behind your search query to weave out all those shit affiliate websites, i.e

"casinovenetian.info review + forum" in google. That will bring you to a few remarkable threads:

There's alarm bells all over the place in my opinion and one simply to avoid.

... I hope they meet a horrible death ...

Please don't post statements of this nature. Aside from being pointlessly nasty they are also a violation of the Forum Rules, item 1.5.
