I don't have many gripes with William Hill, but last night I used the free £5 daily bonus on Tkki Tastic, lost it(or so I thought). I had 22p left of the bonus money and could NOT spin to get rid of it. So I deposit £5 to play with cash hit bonus round first spin and win £80. But then I realised the bonus was still active. Bare in mind had a £20 max cap winnings.

So I called explain why would I want to keep a bonus active that had a 20 max winnings and deposit 5 ? He understood I was talking common sense but refused to convert it to cash.

Why can't casinos just apply common sense in these situations.

Be careful with Bonuses!
It is  crucial  that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of any bonus that you accept. Most of the complaints that come through our arbitration service are bonus related; it would be safe to say that there are tens of thousands of players who have never complained because they realized after the fact that they did not understand or had never read the terms. Nothing in a casino is free – so whenever you see “free” being used, there are stipulations. It is important for you to understand that.

Please check out our Bonus Section that lists the offers given by our Accredited Casinos. No deposit bonuses, welcome bonuses (AKA sign up bonuses [SUBs]), exclusive bonuses, reload bonuses, free spin bonuses...all this and more!
You should have went to live chat before you deposited since you noticed there was still 22 p left. Not wait til you won then contact them.

Casino's should have a system implemented that when under $1, all bonuses should be cancelled. But of course they dont because they have this in place to screw players over, just as happened to you.

And when casino's say they cant or wont fix it. They can, they just choose not to.

I had this problem once with fortune lounge and I was super pissed. There was like 3 cents left in my account and i didnt notice. I made a deposit of $250 with no bonus. But because there was 3 cents left from a previous bonus..They made me wager the remaining $8000. Which is above and beyond a joke.

I was furious and I complained here, to the rep and gaming commission which resulted in them changing it (well my account anyways) so now whenever im under $1 the bonus is cancelled.

How can a bonus be ACTIVE when you don't have enough to spin on the game? This is my point. Why would anyone SANE deposit to keep a 22p bonus active :what::what::what:

Or you could turn that around. How could you who know so much about casinos rules and are so used to playing online, be so stupid to not check first or ask to get those 22 cents removed before making another deposit? :)

Have you tried connecting to live chat on Willhill, it only takes about 35 minutes to get a answer. :eek2:

One of downsides to the large bookmakers is the awful slow customer service. It took 32 minutes on a phone to discuss the issue.

No, I've never even signed up there. I only have accounts where I know the rules and where I know they are fair.

I've heard that issue discussed earlier with those cents that are left. Isn't it even possible to play them out on some other game? Will they stay in the account forever if you don't play them?

This is my other issue I raised. You can not even play the bonus pence out on any other game. It had to be that game and it would not let you play less than 30 lines. Usually I go on starburst to get rid of it.

So you either wait for it to expire or ask them to cancel, they do have a feature to cancel bonus but it never ever works for me on there site. Gives a error.

That is frustrating. I guess you've learned a lesson from this at least.
No matter what we say or how much we would agree with you they will not change their minds. Make sure you take those £20 at least :D

It doesn't always work in their favour.

Caddell group have that in place, where if our balance drops below £1 the bonus is cancelled.
On a couple of occasions my balance has dropped below £1, and I've had a few wins after the bonus has been cancelled and the wagering removed. Eventually ending up as a cashout.

Although that could be one of the reasons they bonus-banned me :D

This has to be the case for UK players, it has been implemented by the UKGC. (not £1 but bonus has to auto cancel under 0.0xp)

Most I play have implemented it already, trust the bookies type to drag their heels

Do you play at Unibet? They keep the wagering of earlier bonus even if you are down to zero. I even closed my account there because I was told I have to wager it with coming deposits. Later I was told that was wrong but how can I trust them now? Is it different for uk players or have they changed it now?

I play the odd FS which they send out, rare I deposit there.

Funnily enough I played there earlier today (due to the Twin Spin FS) and yes, I noticed that their bonuses do not auto cancel and you cannot even open Thunderstruck (as an example) and reduce lines to clear odd cents / pennies.

As far as I am aware, they should NOT be doing this and this bonus leftovers (lets used 0.08p as an example) should auto covert to cash.

This is applicable to UK players via a new(ish) UKGC ruling, not sure how it applies to players / accounts from other countries, sorry!

The information that you have to wager all old/failed bonuses is as you say not correct, seems to me though that you've already taken the most sensible actions
