Hello,

I am new to this website and have been reading a lot of threads about rouge casinos, I hope I am posting this in the right place.

I am registered with Gamstop to help stop me from gambling online, The other night I had a few to drink and came across Casino Napoli and deposited around £2400 the whole experience was horrible and seemed very bent the games just seemed to take money and hardly give any back.

It seems so unfair that theses casinos are allowed to prey on problem gamblers who probably make more money than the legit casinos with a UKGC license.

I think more should be done to stop this from happening to anyone else, it has put me into a bad situation with money.

I am wondering if I should try and do anything about it, the name on the statements for the deposits are different to what the website showed, the currency is in RUB which was supposed to be EUR. Also the gbp amount is slightly different to what was agreed.

Thank you for reading.

Yeah i now know unfortunately i hadn't came across any of the sites saying this, there are so many fake websites promoting them i looked at a few thought it was legit.

Sadly more and more rogue affiliates are promoting them and nearly all the top results in Google UK are sites listing this crap.

In many cases, when you get your bank statement you will see a purchase at a Russian store or even a Chinese carpet warehouse. That's how these scumbags get around the card processing.

Yeah its a shame that there allowed to do this, on my statement it does say the type of transaction is for betting, it seems odd that my bank would even allow the money to come out of my account knowing its a betting transaction in a different currency.

@o8967 You should collate all the information and send it off to the UKGC who will act when presented with evidence. That is literally your only avenue I'm afraid. The more people do this the more the payment facilitators will feel the squeeze.

Just out of interest - which games from which providers did you use? You should also include this information to the UKGC.

Good luck.

Thanks i read from quite a few places that the ukgc dont really care and would be a waste of time, i will start writing an email to them, is there much i need to include about the casino.

2 of the games i can remember playing are El Torero Merkur and 15 Golden Eggs Booongo which are probably not supposed to allow uk players.

Thank you. I do love QoR as I know it has the biggest potential of all BTG slots and maybe one day it will hit ;)

Being completely honest, I was uncomfortable with how the affiliate industry was turning and I'm glad changes are already underway. The introduction of licences for affiliates is likely to be introduced next year by the UKGC which should weed out some of the rogues and those in it purely for the money.

It was fun to start with, very profitable and you met some great people. These days, affiliate managers have a shelf life of 6-12 months and its all pushy tactics to make as much money as possible for the casinos.

My only wish was I started 10+ years ago when it was completely different.

Well if affiliates aren't in it for the money, why else would they do it? It's the only reason I know that me and everyone else I've met does it!
It would be nigh on impossible, an administrative nightmare to license affiliates, hence the UKGC making the licensees responsible for them instead.
I cannot equate the moral dilemma you stated regarding being an affiliate, then you turn to streaming. Sorry, with all due respect that really doesn't add up mate.

Every streamer i watch is an affiliate too . Are there really streamers who aren't?

They absolutely do care but it's important you report it to them and include as much information as possible as clearly as possible.

Re: gaming providers. I believe Merkur are based in Germany so absolutely should be following UK law when it comes to providing remote gaming services so be sure to include that information as well.

Be as diligent as you possibly can with the evidence. Scans of bank transactions, game history, affiliate emails basically as much as you can.

Sadly, it's unlikely you will get your money back but it will force the UKGC to act and help protect the next gambler from falling into this trap. The more that complain the more better.

Well, myself, Snorky, Goat and Suffer offered to fund Nutnut on Bonanza with the condition he streamed and the intention of watching a one man demolition job on his house.

He kinda was an affiliate of sorts, but not sure if that’s splitting hairs.

I've only streamed once in the last 4 years and that was a Vegas special two months back. Not sure where you think I've turned to streaming?

Money never motivated me on the affiliates, the same as it does for playing slots today. I'm all about the X win rather then the financial result of any spin. Playing 20p, 40p is what I do 90% of the time.

Off to work now, but will reply to your post a bit more this evening :)

More credit to you for that. Respect.

Deep down no affiliate really gives a flying f about punters doing their balls in.

They know exactly what they are doing and if they were that bothered they simply wouldnt do it.
