This morning I discovered a new online casino that I thought I would give a go and I ended up despositijg about £1500 and after losing most of that I eventually managed to win it back up to £1800 and so I went to withdraw. It wasn’t until after attempting to withdraw I found out that my country (UK) was on the prohibited countries list for the site.
Now I am confused and slightly worried what will happen as the withdrawal is still pending and I would have to make multiple withdrawals to empty my balance (they have a £500 maximum daily withdrawal limit) so now I have a couple of questions about this:
1. Will I even have a chance of seeing this money again or is it long gone?
2. Why was I allowed to register even submitting my address which is clearly a UK address and selecting my currency as GBP if they do not and are not allowed to operate in the UK.
I understand I probably should have fully read the t&cs to see if I was even eligible to play but also I didn’t even realise I would have to with being allowed to create my account and deposit as well as play with English currency. As well as this in my account section there is a Union Jack flag further leading me to believe that they understood I was a player from the UK and that was allowed.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I’m currently very confused on what is going to happen.

To get a decent answer people would really need ro know the name of the casino.

Then they would have a better idea if it's a casino where you might get at least deposit back or if its a scam casino.

But why sign up to a place like that in the first place. Fact it's got a withdrawal limit of £500 a day should've been enough to stay well clear. Especially as if it was a UK licenced casino they wouldn't have withdrawal limits.

I tried it out and they don't even allow UK IP addresses to visit the site. Must have been using a VPN...
I wasn’t it took me to a different site with a different url it was unlimluck1gsk.com I hadn’t realised that the site was different when I was first using it it wasn’t until I went to withdraw there was any issues the site showed all games in GBP as well as promotions in pounds as well so I wasn’t under the impression that they didn’t allow uk pkayers

If I was to attempt a chargeback with my bank is there any risks to myself for doing that?
It depends - most scam casinos use bogus payment processing i.e. Chinese carpets or something stupid to disguise the fact they are taking unlicensed gambling transactions. If that's the case, you have deniability. If not, it's hard to justify.

How have you played legit games then if no VPN as they would be geolocked? Unless they are pirated then there is ZERO chance of any withdrawal. If the 2nd point is the case you best hope you used Visa or Mastercard to deposit. Even then it depends on what bank your with - high street one should be OK but online banks like Monzo etc might be an issue.

Just want to add here some advice. IF you DO decide to play at an unlicensed online casino, which does not have a licence in the country which you reside in. DO NOT use your bank card or indeed any card to deposit.

Reason being as Dunover states, many use bogus payment processing. You are also at a very big risk of having your card details stolen and cloned.

So if you do decide to take the risk and play at an unregulated operation, use crypto.

Yes 100% this - don't do what I did and then have accounts frozen etc. The other risks you have added are absolutely valid as well. Also likely that your personal information is being sold on.

Just to add to my point about what bank your with - high street banks will generally process chargebacks without too much fuss in these circumstances. Online only banks its another story- have seen stories of people requesting chargebacks and being denied because "Insert dodgy Casino name" have, and I quote, "a good trustpilot rating" - no joke. Whole thing is complete fraud - stay away and as you have said stick to reputable Crypto sites if you need to go offshore.

Hello. I am new here. I joined UNLIMLUCK a few weeks ago and verified by email. I looked closer at it and saw it is Comoros I think. I did not deposit or upload any docs. I have been trying to close it since then but they are still not doing this - I have sent emails and was in chat but still nothing. Can they do anything if they deem it as a dormant account does anyone know. Thank you very much.

They just take a dormancy fee if the account has any balance after 12 months of inactivity. No termination.

Their terms are likely a copy and paste from somewhere but they claim to close accounts if you:
  • are a minor (so you could admit to them on livechat that you used someone elses details and you are actually underage)
  • creating a second account. A bit counter intuitive but admitting this to live chat should result in both accounts being terminated due to their terms.
  • chargebacks result in account termination (not possible due to not depositing)
I doubt they'll actually adhere to their terms as it'll probably be obvious you are trying to bait them into closing it and they'll just leave it open hoping you eventually decide to play for some reason.

Hi there. Thank you so much for replying. I did think they would just wait to see if I deposited but no chance of that. I also did think that as I have not deposited they could not do anything like a monthly charge which was my main concern. I have learned my lesson not to try any sites that are not with UK Gambling Commission! Thanks again.
