Isn't this kinda like complaining to the police when a drug dealer steals your money? Online gambling isn't legal in Canada. At best it's not illegal, but depending on interpretation, we could get charged for it.

Do you honestly believe that the RCMP could/would block flight and train access and monitor all their movements? These people aren't in Canada (Except Khanwake) so the RCMP wouldn't have jurisdiction and they are not going to go to all the cost and manpower just because you didn't get paid for using a non legal online casino

While I'm not sure they would get involved for non-payment or confiscation of winnings, I would not hesitate to report credit card fraud.

It is not illegal here to the best of my knowledge, my (Canadian) prepaid card provider quite clearly promotes its use for online gambling, and my bank is well aware what the source of those wires is.... non-taxable gambling wins.

We're certainly not prohibited from gambling, rather legislation hasn't caught up to it to formally announce or denounce it. I'd still be obligated to report any winnings as income, or at least watch moving any large amounts through my bank, though as Jas mentioned gambling related wins (as well as lottery) are tax exempt and I've until tax time to 'shuffle' it.
I'd report credit card fraud or theft, but I wouldn't chase up any online casino wins outside of the normal routes; certainly not through police
