The polls close in a short time......was just wondering if any of my fellow Canucks have a prediction as to the outcome.

From what I've seen/read/heard, I think Harper and the Conservatives will be re-elected.

You are probably right there RobWin.

Harper did indeed win, a very strong minority government. 155 seats were needed for a majority government, they got 145 (I think). I'm with alot of people who sometimes wonder if it makes any difference at all WHO gets elected. On certain issues maybe yes, but overall? Given the current economic climate, I can't say that I'm entirely disappointed in the result.

Yea, I saw earlier on the news web I was reading where he won...and you are most likely right that it don't really matter one way or the other...that fact has been proven over and over down here in the states over the last 50 years...

What chaos for the day. I had to oversee one of the polling stations. Im telling you what a mess between ballots being mailed out to wrong people listed at their address for folks that have lived in that house for over 20 years. To the point that some came to vote to be told they advanced voted. Or ballot cards sent out to vote at schools that have closed down. Glad the days over but elections canada best be checking into all these errors.
