Can you" Hit and Run" without going back?

I played at 3dice this weekend using my free $35 rainy day funds and to my
surprise hit $300 right away on one of their slots games! I was stunned because
I'd only been playing like 10 minutes. I tried to win more, but didn't have any luck.
When my balance got down to about $200, I started getting a little nervous and cashed
out at $190. I repaid the $35 back into my rainy day account, so my net was $155.

Now I should feel great because I won without using my money, but I'm frustrated and
totally conflicted! One part of me is angry I didn't cash-out at $300 another part of
me wants to reverse the $155 (Still pending!!! UGH!!) and go for broke! I've been
playing in fun mode, until the "fever" subsides. I was wondering if anyone else ever
felt conflicted after a "hit and run?"

The majority of the time I cant..

Im weak:o Make a good hit on the first few minutes then feel instantly compelled to keep going until I make a massive hit, eventuating in me loosing the lot:( Unless I get a really good hit like $500 upwards, then I tend to cash out;)

"Sometimes"........is the only honest answer I can give you.

Think about the complete reversal of this question and wonder how you'd feel having already spent the money you won trying to win more.

Theres always a point where you want to win more-we wouldn't be gamblers otherwise-think about it-be wise-take the money and run and spend it on something you need.

If theres ever a gambler that says he/she won and never wanted to win more by reversing a withdrawal-he/she are lying-don't risk it.Its not worth that cacky feeling afterwards.

Thanks!

You are right! I never thought about how even more horrible I'd feel if I gambled and lost the $155 on top of everything else! Thank you for your wisdom!

For me it depends on a few things. I tend to gamble my winnings back more easily when I am tired. 2 weeks ago I played from 7pm to 2am. I began with 200e and made it to 8600e, and lost it all.

Yesterday I deposited 200e and won 2k, but I was very aware of the risks of playing it back, and asked the withdrawal to be flushed :)

I would recommend not to play when you are really tired, and it is also not a good idea to play when you are really bored.

for me i find really very hard to make a hit and run , most of the times i always go back and play until im out of money. Only way i can make a successful hit and run is after winning i have something else more important to do or have to go somewhere. In my case its so hard because most of the time im free and have nothing to do so whatelse will you do but entertain yourself by gambling.

The problem IMO, is that if you've had a good run you almost certainly think "I will definitely play that casino again!"
So if you're going to play again, why bother to cash out? You're only going to deposit again later, so why not just play on with the money you already have in your account?

This is definitely what happens with me at 3Dice. It is one of the very few casinos I play without taking a deposit match bonus and even on those rare occasions that I actually get a good hit and double or treble my deposit amount, I never seem to be able to hit that cash-out button... :(
A couple of weeks back I had a really good win & took my bank over $500. I tried using the "safe feature", but I still ended up slowly reversing it and playing it all back.

This is one very good reason why I like playing with bonuses - because then I have a definitive stopping point and a very good reason to cash-out.
Using bonuses makes "Hitting & Running" much easier!

Ah, the story of my life. I used a $100 bonus coupon for High Noon, played for hours. Finally cashed out at $562 knowing I'd lose $100 right off the top. This was after being at over $800 but thinking "I can cash out $1000 so I might as well try to keep going". Finally decided to cut and run...oh, for about 3 hours? Then realized it's a Friday and I've used all my other resources. So...oh heck, long story short, rinse and repeat, I lost it all. But what really made me mad was playing $1.00 a spin at my favorite game "Paydirt" and seriously, that whole $562 I hit the feature twice. Really? Grrrr....
So, my answer is heck no. I can't do hit and run. :D

In a way I agree with you KK. BUT the longer you play the more apt you are to lose. The casinos would rather you play with same monies already in acct because if you withdraw and redeposit later it cost them a fee.
bUT THE THOUGHT OF WINNING say $1,000 and using your logic and losing iot all is the most sickening thing to me. This happened to me over the weekend , deposited 110 at JC , got it up to over 1k, took a break and kept playing intermittently, finally said F^&* iT....AND CASHED OUT AT 400 aftyer stopping at 880 660 Christ sakes c.ould not get 4 aces or a royal in VP OR EVEN A GOOD HIT ON MY FAVORITE SLOTS

Not only can I hit and run, in many cases, it's the only way to win. Mathematically, if you play for an extended time, you WILL lose. You have to. If not, casinos wouldn't be in business.

As such, especially with many table games where I know the odds by heart, I'll go in, play a single game with a huge bet, and then leave. It's always just a single bet. Because the RTP of any given game is only met over a period of time, that single bet deviation from the T-RTP is the only place to earn money. You just hope that you end up at the high end as opposed to the low end.

So yeah, I frequently give myself a one-bet limit, and then walk.

Coenie,

50% of the day I'm tired and the other 50% I'm bored, so that's gonna be tough advice to follow, lol!

Now that I really think about it, I've noticed that it's harder for me to "Hit & Run" when I win right
out the gate, like within the first 15 minutes of playing. Imagine a similar scenario of driving an hour
to a Casino. Your goal is to win $500. So you walk up to the first machine and hit $500 on the first
spin! You want to go home, put that little voice inside you is saying "I just got here!"

For me, it feels the same way online! it's harder for me to stop after a quick win, because I'm still craving
some action. But when I win after playing for about an hour or more, it's easier to stop because I've
made money and had my fun!

If I really need the money I can, (that is if I get that little niggle at the back of my mind and in my gut that screams 'play on and you will LOSE IT ALL!!' which has happened before  and I did not heed it )

Though most of the time I just keep playing now to reach my target mark of cashing out, pity I never can though.

This is what frustrates me gambling grrrr, my target for cashing out one day was £200, I managed £160 of a balance   played away.....gone :(.

@ KK, Yes you are 100% correct, people do tend to return to the place that gave them a good run...be it at land casino or online ;)

I think there are 2 different styles of gambling.

First being you deposit lets say 50.00 and hit for 300 you can use house money to bet bigger and go for the bigger wins.

2nd being you deposit lets say 50.00 win the 300 and say I am so out of here. Run like you in a marathon.

Now being from the USA with all the problems and fees associated with casinos I like to hit and then use house money to try and get bigger wins. I feel if I've got to wait a week or more to get paid I might as well work there money. When use my wallet was around I would have cashed out right away and then I could redeposit at any casino. But the good ole days are far behind us now.

I have experienced this at land casino, as soon as I walked in the door, I put a £10 note into the machine, 1st spin hit the jackpot of £250, £2 bet would have been £500, What do you think happened next? I kept on playing lol, did manage to walk out after an hour with over £300 though :p:D

I was able to hit and run in the beginning of my gambling career... I cashed out winnings like 10$ :eek2:

The more you have lost over the time the harder it is to stop. The point of no return has been the point where I've started to make my first debts because of all this shit.
Every month I get paid, 70% of that money go straight to the people that I owe money.

I could be fine with the remaining 30%, at least I would not starve. Then I always think I "could" risk like 100$ as it would make my month a bit more bearable, but yeah a Win of 300 would be even better then 200, and a Win of 400 even better then 300 !!

Oh wait where have my winnings gone .... ??? This fucking shit doesnt give any freegames anymore .... fuck I have to deposit again and again.

Oh no I have nearly no money left ..... nice finally I've hit something good ... but wait .... in regard to my previous deposits I'm still in negative balance .... It was not good to gamble again I just want that money back now as I cant afford to lose it ..... *BOOOOM* .... all gone .... making some more debts to survive the month just to start this vicious circle over and over again .....

I think many of you guys know this situation.

I will HIT the support button, ask them for a self exclusion and RUN far far away from all online casinos on this planet

I think you have hit upon the right solution ----- take a self imposed break and decide what you want to do. Gambling should be *fun* when it loses the fun, try something else.

Good luck to you,
Diane

This looks familiar. There was a time (many years ago) where I had two different PayDay loans going, I'd take my check, go pay one off, then run to the other and withdraw, next check I'd go pay that one off, go back to the original one and withdraw. What a nightmare I had myself in. I finally (and man oh man was life good that day) managed to pay off BOTH of them and once again had my paychecks to myself. I try to keep that incident in the back of my mind when I get a little crazy, which sometimes I still do. Then of course you get so MAD at yourself for being so stupid. If I had the money I've spent over the years trying to win money I wouldn't need to win anything. I'd be rich.

But...I do love the thrill, be it that gut wrenching holy crap I'm down to my last $3.00 at a quarter spin or that holy crap, I'm playing a quarter spin and just hit over $500. I need to take some time out too I think. :eek2:

I have deposited countless times and have never hit a substantial amount to withdraw.

I must be playing the wrong game. It seems more like an endless countdown.

When I win a free spin it strangely always pays about what i lost.

Do any of you notice payouts differ depending on what time you play?(day of week/time/hr)
