Can anyone explain what this means:

"Better Odds Safer Wins"

I personally think it doesn't mean anything, but it seems to be the statement that Lotus Asia Casino is using to identify themselves and can be found with their logo.

How does one have safer wins?:what:

Imagine this for a hospital: "Better doctors, safer x-ray machines"

I think the issue's really saying safer, as opposed to just saying safe. The immediate question is, well, uh... safer than what? Are they saying it used to be dangerous, but it's safer now?

If only George Carlin were still around. He'd have a field day with this one.

Over Xmas sometime (In between a bottle of JD and a crate of Stella, time-wise, is as precise that I can remember :o) I received a register and claim 25 FS`s email from Lotus Asia, so I did, long story short I ended up winning £2500 - I knew there was a max cashout of £250, so I made a withdrawal that I ignorantly thought would never happen, I received the mandatory docs needed email and replied that I would send them, (I also rang Lotus Asia whom by sheer coincidence have the exact same number as my local pizza place), when the hectic that is Xmas/Alcohol/Cooking/Alcohol/Cooking with Alcohol, died down/sobered up/could vaguely talk,as long as sentences were not needed. The CS were very helpful and kept me upto scratch with the progress, however, after the slight relapse back into the world of alcohol induced coma, sometime after Xmas but before some other date that ended with a `Y`, I remembered that I had to send docs in.

For some bizarre reason that probably had some form of justification at the time, I selected cheque by courier as my withdrawal method, I then went off to celebrate that I had single-handedly with two friends, managed to send an email with attachments using ymail's - created by the cast of Sesame Street - interface.

And lo and behold the cheque turned up Monday 7th.

I was very impressed with their service and customer communication ;).

What this has to do with this thread I don't really know, as the relative link that inspired me to reply, has now left my head and been replaced by some other thought.

What I like about the word better is that it means either you used to be worse OR you're just admitting that you're not the best.

"I used to have a flaming case of herpes but I'm better now. Now it's just quietly smoldering." OR "We offer better food for your money. It's better than if we just took your wallet and made you eat garbage."

Safer may just indicate a slight improvement of the previous safety level of winning there.

Safer wins - We've stopped sending thugs over to your house if you make a large withdrawal. We do however reserve the right to use your credit card to buy an amount of cocaine equal to the value of your withdrawal and sell it to recoup our losses.

You can add the "er" at the end of any adjective any time you want to keep things slightly more vague.

"Our glue is stronger!" Stronger than what? "Stronger than using bubble gum."
"Our gasoline is better!" Better than what? "Better than walking 'cause you ran out."
"Our detergent will get your underwear whiter!" Whiter than what? "Whiter than the ones I'm wearing.... Trust me."
"Our products are cheaper!" Cheaper than what? "Cheaper than yesterday. We raised the price for two hours just so we could write this ad!"
"Our deliver service is faster!" Faster than what? "Faster than yesterday. We bought a truck."

Advertisers learned that deception doesn't always require a lie. Just use "er" and honestly deceive anyone you like. It's fun. Try it.

hehe, Yup. "Best odds, safest wins" sounds a whole lot better and safer :D

Except the safest wins implies a danger of some sort when winning elsewhere.

We have the best odds AND if you win at our casino, we won't find you and kill you!
