Slow Pay Bovada Casino Payout Delayed Twice Now.

@Xanthious: I have a PAB from you dated May 30th regarding your Bovada case yet you persist in posting here on the forum. Have you not read the Pitch-A-Bitch FAQ as you said you had in your PAB submission? I should think that item 3.10 of the FAQ makes it pretty clear that forum posts while your PAB is in progress are seriously frowned on. To be blunt you have a choice: PAB or forum posts, not both, at least not simultaneously.

Please email me ASAP with an explanation of your actions and how you wish to proceed.

Oops sorry about that! Given the choices I will opt to keep this matter out in the public eye. I think it's important that as many people as possible know that Bovada is refusing to honor their debts. As much as I would like your help in this matter I would rather that this not fade from view until people are actually paid what they are owed. Right now I would like as many people as possible to know about their poor behavior and sadly that will not be possible behind closed doors. Thank you though, and my apologies for overlooking the stipulation of not being able to post about the matter and have a PAB simultaneously.

However, unrelated to my PAB, is there anything that can be done so as to make sure Bovada no longer has accredited status while they are taking over two months to pay their players? As I stated before I would hate to think people are going to Bovada on this site's recommendation and then have to sit through multiple months of excuses and buck passing in order to get what they are owed, assuming they get it at all.

Again my apologies.

Given the choices I will opt to keep this matter out in the public eye.

As I explained to you in response to your PM you are free to discuss your topic to your heart's content after the PAB process, just not during the PAB process. Since the PAB process typically takes 1-3 weeks the black-out time on your contributions doesn't seem an unreasonable sacrifice to us. Forum posts turn these issues into moving and uncontrollable targets and we don't have the resources to waste time and effort chasing them.

So there's no "out of the public eye" here, just no public discussion of your issue by you while I'm trying to help settle your issue with the casino people.

Anyway, your choice: PAB discarded.

I understand the reasoning behind it and I really do appreciate what you and this site do for online gamblers. It's a top notch service that has helped a lot of people and the fact you guys offer it for free speaks volumes. Also, while the blackout was a large part of my decision it wasn't the entire reasoning behind it. After writing Kahnawake, Bovada's regulator, last night they got back in touch with me today around the same time I noticed your forum post and were a little more forthcoming about the situation and gave me what seems like a very sincere offer to look into matters further on my behalf.

Suffice to say Jasminebed's advice to contact their regulator seems to have been very good advice indeed. It's also advice I'd give to anyone else currently waiting in limbo for a payout from Bovada. As Jasmine said, they appeared to take the matter seriously and gave me something beyond the whole "You will receive your money, sorry for the delay, etc" speech. Obviously, I will keep you all updated on anything new that may come of this.

Thank you again though Maxd. Also, again I apologize for not reading the PAB FAQ thoroughly and any wasted time or effort on your part that it may have caused.

Reply received from Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC)

I emailed the KGC today and received a very quick reply this afternoon (surprising).
They stated the following:
"The KGC is aware of the Bovada current payment delays. The Commission is working closely with upper Management of Bovada to ensure players are paid as soon as possible. The issues seem to have been caused by a processor problem. The information the KGC has is that this appears to be a logistical problem and not a liquidity one. However the KGC continues to monitor the situation carefully.

We have proceeded to contact Management at Bovada concerning your withdrawal and will get back to you as soon as we have any information on the your withdrawal payment."

I too urge everyone who is having a payout delay, to email the KCG..

I'll post back when/if I hear anything else.

... Jasminebed's advice to contact their regulator seems to have been very good advice indeed.

Yup, the KGC complaints handling people do a good job. Happy to hear it worked out.

I've been waiting for an April 18th approved payout of $1300. On that date, the estimated timeframe for payouts was 15 business day. Yes, I'm also getting impatient. Yes, their customer service reps are giving me the same run around as everyone else. But Bodog/Bovada has always come through with their payouts in the past. To anyone waiting for a payout processed after that date (I'm waiting on a courier check), expect to continue to wait. I'll keep you posted as to when I receive something.

If you've been waiting longer than originally quoted, e-mail bovada customer service with something along the lines of "Is there anything you can do to compensate me for such an abnormally long wait?" They credited my account there with a $260 free bonus (20% of my payout request).

Hope that helps!

Received GOOD NEWS from Kahnawake Gaming Commission & Bovada

Hi All,
Following up to let you all know that I received a follow-up email from the KGC Dispute Management as well as a phone call from Bovada today. This is from the KGC:
We received a further response from Bovada Management concerning your withdrawal. They have advised us you should receive tracking details of your payment on or around Friday, June 15. We will keep your case file active until you confirm you have received your payment.
Regards

The Bovada rep (Ray) said that they were sorry for the unusual delays but they were working hard to process payouts as quickly as possible. I should expect a tracking number by June 15th and he will keep an eye on my account and follow up with me once the tracking number is issued.

I told the rep that I appreciated the call and a more definitive timeframe of when I can expect payment. So far I'm impressed with the KGC response and actions, which, it seems, has gotten Bovada to act. I may not have my check yet, but they are responding satisfactorily.

I emphatically urge anyone who is experiencing a slow/delayed payout from Bovada to send the KGC a nice email concerning your payout delay.

I too contacted KGC and got an email this morning with an estimation on when I should get my tracking number. I'm very pleased with how KGC has handled my complaint.

jazzymc, when was your payout approved?

TOM, my payout was approved May 11th. With the date I was given today for the tracking number to be issued, will put the payout right at 30 business days. That's IF they issue the tracking number on or by the 15th.

I read that you've been waiting since April 18th. Have you written to the KGC complaints department? If not, I encourage you to do so immediately. You have way more reason to be impatient and complain about than I do with a delay that long.

This is just MHO, but I think that the casino is very concerned with losing players, especially players who wager heavily over a period of time. Of those players that complain to the KGC, those whose history shows a high wagering volume over a certain period, just might have their payout get bumped up ahead of other players whose wagering may not have been as high or not have a long term history at the casino (Bovada/Bodog). I'm definitely not saying this is in any way right or fair, it's just my own opinion of how things work and I certainly was not told this by anyone.

I go to actual casinos frequently (one in particular) and wager a pretty good amount and I am rewarded sweetly by those casinos with Freeplay, Bonus Entries for give-aways, free buffets, free rooms, etc. If I call to get a free room, I'm sometimes told by the CSR's that there are no "comp rooms" available. But if I ask to speak to the casino host or a supervisor, they pull my wagering history and magically, a room becomes available. So it does pay to complain and go above CSR's heads. In this case, skip Bovada's CSRs who only tell you the same thing over and over (as shown in this forum), and go right to the gaming commission.

Good luck!

I would venture to say it's more of a case of the squeaky wheel getting the grease. I personally play for rather low stakes but I have been rather vocal about my displeasure with Bovada whether it's to them in person on the phone, or in these forums, or via email to their regulator. My cashout was made on April 25th, approved on April 27th, and I was told by KGC that I should have my tracking number around Friday of this week.

The other option I think is possible is that Bovada has finally gotten a regular provider again and it's possible that all of us who are past due are going to start seeing our payouts arriving in the next week or two.

Either way I hesitate to say all is well until my check clears the bank and people are being paid in a reasonable amount of time again. However, I am willing to say that things look better now than they did a week ago.

I will be sure to keep everyone updated either way.

Good to see that people are at least getting actual time frames now, albeit we had to go through KGC rather than Bovada but still it's something. In other news for people not following the thread in the regular old Online Casino forum someone did confirm that they were paid on Tuesday of this week so having someone actually verify they were indeed paid is good news as well. It looks as though this is beginning to get sorted out.

That being said, if you are still waiting on a payment and aren't getting anywhere with Bovada I can't encourage you enough to contact their regulator, KGC, as they have been very helpful so far to everyone that's emailed them at complaints@gamingcommission.ca. Micki and the group over there do a top notch job at getting back to you and getting you an actual estimate.

I sent an e-mail to KGC on Monday, and was called Tuesday by Bovada. They said I should have my tracking number early next week. After that conversation I rec'd an e-mail back from KGC saying I should have it by Friday. While it's good to know that I'll be getting my payout soon, I still think it's a bit ridiculous that Bovada is still telling it's customers different things than they're telling the KGC. I'm not expecting anything 'til next week, cause I believe they just told the KGC Friday to get them off their back for the time being...

Will give more updates as they come...

Another Update: Goodish News!

Ok well I was told my tracking number should be available either late this week or early next at the beginning of this week by KGC. So I called Bovada's 800 number this afternoon and explained what I was told by KGC. They put me through to a player advocate who promised to look into my payout and call me back by end of business. As promised she calls me back and explains she had spoken with management at both Bovada and KGC and promises I will have my tracking number Monday night. Awesome! About a couple hours later I receive an email from KGC reiterating what I was told by the player advocate.

So it looks like I will get my payout next week. While I'm certainly not making plans for my winnings until I have the check in hand it looks like my payout should be sorted out by the end of next week. Just wanted to keep everyone updated. I will post again on Tuesday or when I have another update.

If you still haven't gotten your payout and you are waiting for a check I can't stress enough about writing Kahnawake Gaming Commission. It seems they carry quite a bit of weight with Bovada and are able to get people answers. Micki, the rep who has handled my complaint, has been nothing but incredible in both her communication and the results she has produced.

Good news all around!

I got a call from the Bovada rep this afternoon, she said my tracking number would be e-mailed to me on Monday, but they had already had it so she wanted to give it to me ahead of time for all the trouble. Gave it to me and looks like my check left Singapore this afternoon and is currently in Hong Kong. Will come back and post when I have it in hand. Expect that should be Monday or Tuesday as DHL is typically very quick.

Payout on the way!

I too received a call from Bovada rep Friday morning. I was given my tracking number for DHL. The rep said they were calling instead of emailing. The message wasn't in my Bovada account until late Friday. But the great news is that my check was shipped out! Yay!
BTW: It also shipped from Singapore.

FYI to those (in US anyway) who receive a payout via international check: Just deposit your check in your bank like any other check. Most US banks and many check-cashing shops, will not cash the check. Each bank has policies in place regarding international banking. There is usually a period of time they place a hold on the check in order for the check to go through the bank's clearing house and then for them to receive the funds.
Just be patient and don't count on the funds to be there immediately.

One more FYI: If you "really need the money"... then don't gamble. If you gamble, then at the very least, don't count on spending your winnings until you have your check and your bank says the check had cleared...just saying.

CHECK RECEIVED!!!

Got my check today (originally requested April 18th for those curious about a timeframe). Will deposit this afternoon. My bank doesn't put a hold on anything I deposit since I've never had a problem with them for 6 years, so won't be able to update you with when it "clears" because everything is available immediately. Not going to use the funds for 10 business days though (just in case) because it's from "United Overseas Bank Limited, Singapore (sounds sketchy to me...). If I have any problems with it I'll report back here. If not, you won't hear from me again.

Happy gambling everyone!!

Glad to hear someone is finally paid. UOB is a pretty big and well established international bank, but I expect some players will experience holds for something out of country.

Kudos to Kahnawake for taking an active interest in player problems. Seemed Bovada needed a little nudge to solve it's "logistics" problem. Hope they get all payments back on track and back to a more reasonable time frame.

Good to hear Tom! Sadly, I'm still getting the run around. I was promised my check was going out yesterday but I called this morning to see what was up as I didn't have any tracking info in my Bovada messages and was told it in fact did not go out yesterday. I wrote KGC to update them. This is getting ridiculous.

Update: About an hour after I posted this I got a reply back from KGC. Bovada management told them my check was sent out yesterday and they were just waiting for the tracking information. Sooo it looks like my check could be on the way afterall. Stay tuned for more updates!

I was out of town Monday, but my check was delivered. I deposited the check Tuesday and my bank didn't hold the funds.
Good luck to everyone else.

Tracking Information Acquired and Check En Route!

So having not heard anything from Bovada today I called DHL today myself and gave them my name and address and they were able to indeed find a package on it's way to me to be delivered on Friday. It's looking like it wasn't sent until today but at least I know it's definitively on it's way now. Hopefully there won't be a hold put on it by my bank!

Naming banks in this thread is so uncool. Every single one should be deleted immediately.

Use at least a modicum of common sense ...
