*Sigh*

Been trying to deal with this issue for years now, yet every time I contact any BossMedia rep or site, I get rebuffed, so break out the stocks...it's time for another public shaming.

As I posted in my Nedplay thread, the BossMedia skins are also infested with cheaters:

Attach Removed (Old not found)
Attach Removed (Old not found)
Attach Removed (Old not found)
Attach Removed (Old not found)
Attach Removed (Old not found)

Basically, what is happening is:

Player X has accounts at up to 8 different BossMedia poker skins.

He opens skin A.

Registers for the network wide freeroll tournament.

He then closes skin A.

Opens skin B

Registers for the SAME freeroll he just entered from skin A.

Close skin B.

Open skin C.

Register for the same freeroll that he has already entered twice.

Close skin C.

etc. etc. etc.

When it's all said and done, the cheater(s) have as many as 8 seats in the SAME tournament and these scumbags account for 20% of the field.

...and this is only the players that have ONE computer. If they have multiple computers, not only do they have many seats, they can play each one simultaneously.

BossMedia does NOT consider this cheating?!?!?!

Gee...I make things public and I start getting replies to my emails.

Too bad I'm not very pleased with what I'm reading:

Thank you for the email.

We can confirm that we do not allow any players to register for a Freeroll tournament with multiple accounts. This is consider as Freeroll abuse and this kind of fraudulent act will be dealt very strictly and all those account found involved will be locked immediately.

We have a separate department to monitor such act, our Fraud and Security department will review all the freeroll tournaments thoroughly as soon as they finished and any players found to be register with multiple account will be locked permanently.

That is what they claim, yet what I saw a few moments ago disputes this.

This is a new set of five sample screenshots from today's 100 Freeroll.
The ones marked with green appear above in the screenshots from 35 days ago.

Now I have repeatedly offered to assist with this investigation so that these people can be dealt with once and for all.

All I would require is a text-format copy of the tournament rosters for every network-wide unrestricted freeroll tournament from the last 30 days.
(unrestricted meaning: open to all players without deposit or raked hand requirements)

If someone from BossMedia or one of it's clients would step forward, I will do the work needed to make it very easy to root these people out.

I would pare down each of the rosters and cross reference them with the other tournaments to make a master list of players who should be investigated.

This will yield a final list of all dishonest players who are active on BossMedia, and as they've clearly indicated a willingness to cheat they should all be banned outright.

In addition, if any of these players have made a withdrawal to an ewallet, the sites could simply reverse the payments and recover some of the ill-gotten gains.

Casinos DO NOT like to admit that they make mistakes and that the fraudsters are getting away with something.

So don't expect them to willingly admit that they have a problem - nor willingly use your services.

They will probably hire a team inside - and have that team clean them out.

OR....

*GASP*

this is done intentionally...

Maybe these are shill seats?

People paid to sit in - and those folks are TOO stoooooopid to use different names because they are too lazy to remember all the passwords or remember the names?

*GASP*

Not possible - right?

Apparently my new campaign to rid a network of its cheaters is starting to yield some results.

Although my offer to assist and make them a list has yet to be addressed, I have been assured that this will be looked into.

I sincerely hope that this is true and a final solution will be found.

I would like to commend Fortune Poker, Interpoker, and Poker Heaven for their positive replies regarding this matter.

To the remaining Boss clients that I have contacted, including Paradise Poker:
I am extremely puzzled by your silence and your inaction solidifies my resolve to never give you my business.

I am a reasonably active real money player on the Cereus Network as well as on Full Tilt. I also play on Playtech occasionally.

I never deposited with any BossMedia poker room or casino and the likelihood of it ever happening will depend on how this unfolds.

I seem to have a knack for online casino security and am actually pursuing information about the possibility of working in this industry, so I'll need all the practice I can get.

The fact that I have A LOT of free time, should be plenty of encouragement for BossMedia to enlist my assistance in bringing this abuse of their network to a resolution, or at least get the job done themselves.

I repeatedly point to my user tag. Add that to my last statement about free time, and you have the recipe for a royal pain in the ass, so resolving this issue once and for all will save you a lot of headaches in the long run. :D

Criminals ARE stupid. :D

Those are just the ones that are stupid, i am sure there are a lot more using different usernames...

Freerolls are hardly worth the time (usually) anyways. Buy into the good value tournaments and i'm sure you won't have that problem. Ongame has the same issue too btw.

More than 500 names out of the 5000 that participate belong to these scumbags, so they're obviously worth someone's time. Too bad it's not Boss Media.

I'm sure OnGame has this going on as well. Most threads regarding them show that the whole network is crooked, so why wouldn't the players be too?
