I believe, the biggest gripe with the game, is the expectancy of the large wins.
Otherwise, I've always found it to have a decent return in the base game (read: longevity, non-balance drainer in quick order) with still, the potential for good hits.

Yes, you're right, it goes in cycles. I withdrew £4k in December, mostly from Bonanza and Gonzo, but December has been pants!
