Gesh. Seems a month can't go by without another casino gimping game RTP.

We really are screwed if we want to play UKGC registered.

I too had no clue Bonanza could go as low as 91%

7 bonuses today - wins of 0.8x, 31.2x, 14.6x, 14.6x, 36.05x, 25.35x and 17.35x.
TOTAL 139.95x. An average of 19.99x.

96% RTP you say? If this is 96%, you can f*cking keep it. Because this SUCKS BALLS.

Meanwhile, here's what the "supposedly inferior" 94.26% RTP Book Of Ra (you know, the game that you should be avoiding, according to some of the know it all authority figures in this thread  ) pays..........

252x. The best win from four features which were triggered in the space of SIXTEEN spins.
Yeah, that's right. SIX.TEEN.

If I want four features on BORENONCER, I would have to play SIXTEEN HUNDRED spins. F*CK. THAT.

If preferring a 94.26% RTP slot over a 96% RTP slot every day of the week AND TWICE ON SUNDAYS makes me a retard or a clown, then guess what?
Call me a retard. Call me a clown. LABELS/TITLES GLADLY ACCEPTED.

At least I'll be a retard or a clown that has winnings to collect and a feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment after my slotting.
It sure as hell beats cutting a totally frustrated figure who has had his fill of playing this GODDAM SON OF A B*TCH AND THOROUGHLY REPREHENSIBLE PIECE OF s**t HOT GARBAGE AND TOTALLY F*CKING GASH game that not only wastes your money, but also your time.

F*ck off and die horribly in a fire, Bonanza, you fucking c*nt of a game.

This is getting really suspicious now

There's nothing suspicious about a game that is explicitly designed, and mathematically guaranteed, to take all your money off you, taking your money off you.

Many years, tens of thousands of posts, hundreds and hundreds of pages, and Bonanza is still rigged/suspicious/compensated/scripted/etc.

Ha ha I shall reply no problem, as it was me that used the term clown.

Whether it be harsh to use the word clown or not perhaps a better term could of been used I don’t know.

First of all unless you have money to burn and don’t care then we are all clowns for throwing our money away whether it be 96% or 90%.

But let me ask you a question….

Why do you think Litterally all uk facing casinos bar slots temple have reduced the RTP levels from 96 odd % down to 91-94 odd %???

Is it to give us slotters a better game? Is it because those maths models are better? Is it because no matter whether it’s bonanza, big bass or book of fucking ra it’s to give us (their customers) a better overall experience?? Or is it because it increases their house edge/profit margins by 50 or in some cases 100%????

Take a moment to think about that question and see which is the correct answer??

For example if Entain/Flutter/365/ videoslots etc we’re making 100 million quid a year each, just by going from 96% to 94% they will now be making 150 million quid a year each. Who do you think is paying for that??? Would you like to have a wild guess?

If 888 who own William hill were making a billion quid a year on slots then guess what? they are now making 2 billion quid a year going from 96% to 92% and even lower on some cases.

That’s right that 4% reduction is DOUBLING their profits. I’ll ask again who is paying for all that??

Now of course does that mean you can’t still win on 92%??! Of course not. Does it mean that people will have run better on 94% instead of 96% well of course they have. It’s all about luck isn’t it??

If you are a regular slotter, you won’t notice it on day to day deposits, but trust me over the year the difference will be bigger.

But this is not just my opinion, this is not just an argument I am putting forward, this is factual. And it’s exactly why casinos are going down this route, there can be no argument or debate about that.

So a few screen shots of COMPLETELY different games over a session or 2 means nothing.

What IS factual is that if you play 92% instead of 96% over ANY games over the course of the year whether it be bonanza or book of ra or anything else. Then your money will get rinsed long term a damn site quicker. Which is why ALL casinos are doing it.

What games people play of course is their choice and I am as bigger fool/clown as any, but I want to give myself the best chance of getting a result and bang for my buck. Choosing the higher RTP options will do that. Does it mean I don’t come on here and moan like fuck when I’ve done my absolute bollox?? No, I like to moan and as slotters we all do! But what it does mean long term and I play slots a lot is that my money will last a lot longer and go a lot further than if was playing some of the filth RTP that’s out there.

I said at the start when these culls started happening that we should boycott all games and casinos that are reducing them. I will stand by that and that is my choice, but if you think
It doesn’t matter then by all means you carry on.

I promise I won’t raise this again, because it really is a waste of time now if people don’t understand it.

But surely they can only double their profits if we lose twice as much money!

Can you afford to lose twice as much money?

Most people will lose the same amount if they are sticking to a budget.

96% is to sheer the sheep , 91% is to slaughter the sheep.

Yea those who set and stick to rigid budgets will of course lose the same.

But with the larger RTP cuts their game time will be cut in half long term.

If on the other hand you don’t do that and casinos knows will know a large chunk of their customers are addicts (despite the absolute horse s**t they come out with on their adverts etc where everybody is enjoying themselves and having a wonderful time whilst thinking about RG and setting limits and keeping eye on each others spending and well being) then the profits will soar so long as people don’t care about this very important aspect.

But yes it’s a valid point. But casinos aren’t interested in the £50 a month loss limit setters. Or the £10 a week 20p max stake lot.

Since the rule changed they simply have to maximise and go after every penny from every punter. And with the RTP cuts that’s exactly what they are doing.

They just try and pretend they aren’t.

Congratulations on your amazing hit. Looks like your last 1000x was 3 years ago. Was it bigger than this?
Yes, it was, IIRC 13-1400x but don't quote me.

This one scraped it, rare decent 5-scatter trigger of doom.

Wow, 1000x is very impressive.
I have to look back at my old screenshots to see if WTB or DoA ever produced something that amazingly big.

giphy.gif
LOL even I got 2500x on DoA first attempt by means of 5-scatters, famously on my YT channel. We're talking Bonanza, where 1000x is rarer than a straight politician.

So i was a chancer....

Not gonna lie - im pratted til next week (payday) - not ashamed to admit it lol

Managed to scamper 30 free spins from Slotstemple that i forgot about on Donuts....

Managed to get £5.60

Thought fuck it, went to Le Bandit (yea yea i know) - Nothing...ok might aswell

Bonanza time!

Im away to treat maself to a wee chinese!

My balance has been jumping up and down significantly the last week or so. Very much down at the moment.

I did just get destroyed by More Turkey.

It's crazy that the game has the same board setup and the same paytable but the maths model is wildly different.

£300 in, £0 out. You can see for yourself just how badly it plays.

I had 3 bonuses (this game is more like 1 in 250 spins) but they paid 11x, 13x and 8x. Best hit in nearly 1000 spins only 15x (2 6OAK reds).

I really should have just thrown it at Bonanza instead, would have got far more play. Legit the last time I ever touch More Turkey. Especially since Video Slots brand switched versions and RTP of their BTG games. More Turkey still at 96% but seems to play way different to the version they had before.

lol Look at this nasty ass thing!

Btw

Withdrew the £20 - played on the £8 and managed too climb to £30

Started with £5

Ended up with £60

Not bad i guess!

But that spin just gave me diabetes

EDIT - UNIBET BASE HIT!

SLotstemple

0.40 spins

Bust in 3minutres 18 seconds....

Most disgusting round ive ever had in my life.

Went to Le bandit (lmao i know fk off!)

4 FS scatter trigger...

£18 - 1 Rainbow dropped the entire 12 spins - absolutely disgusting session today in general.

I've given up on bonanza for now.

Ironically it's not to do with the bonus frequency or average return or even the base game (which I like most of the time).

I went on a bit of a dead run on all the slots but during that time bonanza started to become too predictable in terms of those cascade drops that put the symbols on the reels where they won't connect.

One thing I hated when I started was slots with the scatter teases that would always drop one on the last reel next spin or a symbol right where it would have been a 5oak. Just made them too predictable and boring for me.

The last couple of weeks I've been spinning bonanza and the base game has been so so but what started to bother me was I started calling the symbols correctly on the cascades i.e. red gems, k dropping on reel one etc.

I was even calling out the double ones where there could be two symbols that might hit and they both land but the wrong way round so nothing does.

After that I gave it a proper go yesterday and was bored by it even though I hit 4 bonuses in 20 mins (5x, 50x, 70x, 10x).

The one that did it for me was a screen almost full of J and green gems and I knew they would land on the first two reels in the wrong order.

I've found that once that happens I'm no longer going to enjoy the slot whatever happens.

Let's be honest it's not like I'm going to regret missing out on a 10,000x win that could land

Those BTG games where you can get the fifty eight bazillion Megaways in the bonus, and the reels get really extended out are the most telling, Rasputin is one of them I think.

I'm slightly surprised BTG made them in a way as once the reels get really extended out in the bonus, you can properly see how the sausage is made and how the reel strips are designed to fuck with the player's head. Once you've seen it, you can't unsee it.

Bonanza's real strips are designed exactly the same way, you just don't get to see them in that level of detail because of the limited 'view frame'.

I'm also on a break for now. Not that I'm bored of it but I just kept losing lately. I know it's variance but I just don't see a light at the end of the tunnel that brings me back. At this point nothing short of a 1000x in the next few bonuses would do it.

Problem is I had a pretty hot run.

This was a 7 bonus streak I had last week

317
467
176
155
363
24
122

Looks insane and obviously is, but those are just numbers. It doesn't consider how long it took to get them and how much I lost at other times without hitting, nor how badly I ran before and since. Believe it or not I was only up £312 on that stretch. But I lost £400 in the days before that and £150 after so I'm still down £240 over that week long period. Then don't even get me started on how bad I ran in the weeks before.

My gambling balance has been going up and down like crazy.

I don't know exact dates but I peaked at 3.5k, went all the way down to 1.2k. Ran hot AF all the way to 4k. Lost down to 2.5k. Made it back to 3.5k. Lost back to 2.6k. Currently now at 2.9k. Of course I was never going to stop for good when I got up to 4k but the swings are too great. It's not like I lost £100 a week for a few months I'd go on downswings of £500+ in just a day. So yeah, time to cool off.

So the reels are actually designed that way? I assumed because it's a dead spin they programmed the slot to just drop in the corresponding symbols as a kind of Bullseye 'Look what you could have won' gimmick.

It does actually make it more impressive if the reels are engineered to drop in that way naturally but for me it's just overdone as it does it on almost every dead spin and in the end it's become a bit predictable and put it into 'you're just trying to tilt me' territory.

It's the one thing I figured I had to avoid after playing slots for a while so I've become quite immune to 'tilt'. I'm going to get bored and switch slots or take a break at any sign of it.

I can also see why so many people think the slots are 'rigged' if they don't understand the design and it's influence in terms of the effects on the player and how they perceive what's going on.

I made a video about one of them, Megaways Gold I think it was, it was on my old YT channel but I've never reuploaded it to my new channel.

From memory I got it up to over 300,000 Megaways in the bonus for multiple spins, but it can do one million Megaways or something, and you can see the reels extended out in the game, at which point it becomes very obvious how they're designed to miss stuff all the time.

The most blatant one is alternating symbols, so reels 1 and 3 will be heavy with certain symbols, but reel 2 will have practically none of them, but then other symbols will be heavy on 2 and 4, but missing on 1, that sort of thing. So on Bonanza when you think you've 'just missed' a diamond or whatever to connect a big win, the reel that missed might have one diamond on it and be god knows how many symbols long. (BTG games have famously long reel strips.)

They do it with the premium symbols as well, so you'll get loads of enticing looking premium symbols on a number of the reels, even stacks of them, but when the reels are extended out a long way, you can really see how they are almost completely missing from a critical reel that means you almost never get them participating in a win.

There was a thread here a few years ago doing a statistical analysis of the BTG game Danger High Voltage, that isn't a Megaways game but the same design principles held true, with really long reel strips and symbol distribution designed to keep the game in check - because at the end of the day all these things are running with a house edge of around 4% (or often a lot more these days), and without that symbol distribution you'd end up with a game paying 150% or whatever.

If you can find Gold Megaways on demo play somewhere, just lump away at it until you get a bonus that properly gets going on the insane number of Megaways, and watch how something like 330,000 Megaways either misses completely for multiple spins, or manages a 3OAK on fucking 9s or something.

I had a proper extended play around loads of BTG games a few years ago, and documented it here at CM in the appropriate threads, the conclusion I reached at the end of my endeavours was never to play BTG slots again :D

There's nothing 'wrong' with them as such, their 96% games pay out 96% over time, they don't cheat, they're not rigged or compensated, but once you get your head around how their game design and maths models work, they can become quite unpalatable.

I don't think I've ever had a sub 50% rtp run on Bonanza but somehow here we are

I had just under £20 from a prize win on Play Ojo that I can't withdraw because they want enhanced check s**t that I don't want to do unless I have a big win to withdraw.

So I spun it on Bonanza at 0.20. 181 spins it was all gone, no bonus, no max ways. 46% RTP! on bonanza. WTF

I notice you play other slots at a lower stake so was wondering if you're stuck playing bonanza at a quid a spin because of the 'just in case this is a big hit' thing.

I don't really like talking about stake because it's not my business what others do but I always wonder why bonanza isn't treated like the DoAs where everyone generally plays them at the lowest stakes.

It's honestly just as bad for balance in the short term because of the swings like you say but I found the DoAs won't kill you as badly if you play consistently the same way (especially if you choose train heist on DoA2 more often than High Noon). The sessions might be shorter more often but generally the bonuses will drop more and you will get roughly the same bonus returns as bonanza with the chance of some monsters.

My worst losing month was when I tried to bonus or bust bonanza. It was quite surprising as I didn't lose as much last year during a month when I played bonus or bust on the DoAs and even when I was playing random slots the same way like Big Bass or some Playtech ones.

Well that depends which slots you mean.

I enter the party casino daily tournament and the min bet is 0.20 and the games are at 94-95% rtp so no way I'd do more than the minimum I have to.

No limit city the base bets are frequently low but the enhancer or feature spins make the bets often over £1 anyway.

It's a bit of two things with bonanza. Part of me would be pissed to get that 1000x on a 20 or 40p bet because it wouldn't do anything at this point. Then the other side is like at least I know bonanza will usually! chug along at 70-75% rtp even without a bonus, whereas other providers I play without a feature (especially with extra chance) could happily tear through a 100x deposit and pay back maybe 30% if that.
