All these megaway clones can pay out at some point, I was playing the desperados one yesterday for the first time, and I thought cor blimey, looks like they did the graphics on the back of a cigarette pack in 5 mins. But then I got a bonus, about 6 sheriff badges lined up, on a 5x multiplier, and it paid out £100 on 20p stake without much of a fuss.

You'd be hard pushed to get a 500x out of a netent bonus; outside of the 2 DOA games, I've only achieved it a few times. JATB is probably my most played netent, although I can't be arsed to play it nowadays, twice I've had a 500x bonus.

I can't see how netent's games would ever be feasible around the 94% rtp level, their current games can swipe 150x stake from your balance in no time.

Yes I said what to expect when @dunover reviewed it but went against my better judgement (out of boredom really) and it played exactly how I guessed it would.

I obtained all the stations and utilities for x50 stake then went through another x150 of nothingness before the bonus triggered. My problem with this type of game is that essentially it is just one step down from a bonus buy.

I was never a fan of those as you are essentially buying something that will on average return less. I know that is slotting in a nutshell but at least playing every spin individually disguises it and makes you feel you have a chance.

These type of games are predatory as they tie you in because the second you acquire a house, station or utility you have made part of the investment needed for a bonus round so to speak. I have also played li’l devil and kingmaker which have the same type of ethics. I lost on both of those also and will not play them again. People will always find it hard to walk away from these games as they will consider that they are in effect leaving some investment behind.

Not for me, I think they are rigged to the hilt. Programmed to keep you playing and always chasing the rainbow. Sure they will payout sometime like every slot but if you hit big (like any Btg game) don’t expect anything else to happen for a long, long time.
