Official Bonanza 4th Anniversary Competition

Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to BTG and to CM for hosting it. Regardless of the ambiguity it has been a competition that has captured the attention of many in Casinomeister and kept me entertained since its beginning. That alone in this difficult time should be applauded IMO.
I am looking forward to the next comp

Big Time Gaming is reviewed by Casinomeister - read our review and comment here in this forum thread.
lol, I hadn't noticed that, not much point BTG making any rules next year, just make them up as it goes along :D
I stated a while back that I think that a mod would be welcomed to step in at the beginning of any comps hosted here on behalf of the community to ensure that the rules are clear before a competition begins in case the rep presenting it has omitted obvious ambiguities.

Really mate!!?!!?? - Not so sure about that one lol :p

Cheers, but that's already decided - it's @snorky510238
Let's just say with my sending up the streamers and pointing out dodgy affiliate practices on Tw@tter, I am not flavour of the month.
I could be Poet Laureate and I wouldn't get votes.
I am sure that I would have liked to have seen @goatwack enter the poetry comp :(

Forgive me mate but I've taken a few minutes to try to understand your post?

Not pointing the finger myself but I am sure I have read numerous times how mods have been accused (whether rightly or wrongly) over showing favoritism to certain members hence my quote, hope this helps

Whilst we're here I am not getting in to debate with anyone else, I am simply repeating others observations.

I think Col meant that the mods/site staff should have checked the rules over, rather than ran the comp. Someone certainly should have.

WTF :eek::eek::D

I won something.

It should, technically, have been first prize, according to the rules (The first name out of the hat €3000)

But I'm happy to have won anything, especially with only a few entries.

Thank you BTG
Congratulations !!

I think it would be good to check them in future as often their are contradictions, omissions and ambiguity. The only one I ever got involved in was that infamous one where someone was spinning individual reels on Book of Oz to bend the rules, and I pointed this out. Look at the shitstorm we had there, the rep never came back. Which proves the need for somebody to check them over BEFORE posting.

Exactly.A basic tick list that could be the framework for all CM comps would be a start. It would be helpful for both participants and those who are providing comps and avoid shitstorms

The intended rules should be posted for a given time, such as 2 days for members to view and raise any concerns. The people running the comp should then view this and amend them, where it’s felt necessary and resubmit.

That way if anyone is unhappy at least they were given the opportunity to have a voice to begin with. It also needs a referee to clarify issues that will undoubtedly still arise as the competition progresses. That should be somebody who views the thread daily and addresses problems ASAP with clarity.

Although I knock BTG in terms of some of their games being cash hoovers and flattering to deceive, they easily outshine the other slot giants when it comes to acknowledging customer loyalty, plus interest in new titles, and running a generous competition.

On the poetry front I think a 1,2,3 prize system might have been preferable, not to take anything away from the eventual winner, but all or nothing seems a bit harsh. [4,000/500/500 say would have been nicer]

You could also just create a template for all comp runners to address all issues. Only when the template is complete can the comp go ahead.

Example:
Comp Prize: (money/free spins/bag of cocaine,whatever)
Entry opens: insert specific time
Entry closes: insert specific time again.
Open to: who can play eg no new members, or no one with less than 10 posts pre a certain time or whatever.
How To qualify: example, who ever has the highest "x" win on given game.
Where can I play: do you have to use accredited casinos or is grey zone allowed etc.
Any specifics : do wins in free games count? Are bonus buys allowed? Do I need my screenshot time stamped?

That's just an example there lots the CM admin might want to put in there. But it may help eliminate doubt for everyone from the Mods to the Comp runner to the participants.

Bag of cocaine? That's more like it.

I agree tho, this is a good idea to have a template! I'm still wondering if playing at non accredited would've been fine, I've seen some screenshots posted here with wins from such casino's but I don't know if they were ultimately in the mix to win a price.

They were included on the wheel, well some were, it's hard to tell properly without seeing the spreadsheet.

I was about to correct your post with the results, but i re-watched the video, this time with sound on, and noticed they had swapped the order.

To be fair, i think for a draw it makes sense to go from smallest to biggest prize, just for the added suspense.
But most sense would of course be to do it in the order they said they would do it in. :)
Another point on why the draw should have been done like they said is because it was a multiple ticket style draw.
Lets say i had played 24/7 and had 99% of the total entries, my chance to get the top prize would be close to zero.
I would be almost guaranteed to be drawn first and land the lowest prize.
And that is a bit backwards, right? More tickets should mean higher chance at the top prize, not lower.

I should reply to myself more often.
I almost always agree with what i think.

Yes, we called one up but he's still looking for our office...

Not enough love for this, Solid high 8/10 to really 10/10 HoneyJars just like me cause I am the greatest!. :)

@colinsunderland and @ternur would be proud of me as I am laying the law smackdown on quite a few people but very sadly I wish I can have their help with legal situations. :(
