Having played this bloody awful slot for some time now I am curious what the biggest hit possible is on the base game.
I'm almost certain you can get a stack of J's on reels 1, 2, 5 and 6 - plus two x12 multipliers which on just a 20p bet would be:
256 x 144 x £0.12 = £4423.68 or 22118.4x bet (twenty two thousand, one hundred and eighteen times bet).
As much as that win is "possible" I'm sure it is highly unlikely, which in
BTG terms means it's probably impossible. Perhaps like four x6 landing on DHV, which they confirmed isn't possible as you can only land three of them and a regular wild. So what is the biggest win on the L'il Devil base game that you know of? The biggest I've got so far was a stack of J's on reels 1 and 2, and two x8 multipliers, which was only £61.44 on a 20p bet (around 307x).

Back to the matter in hand anyway!!!
I've played Lil Devil quite a bit over the years (
particularly in the latter half of 2023, when I have to say, I ran fairly good on it).
To the extent, that Lil Devil is my third most "productive" game in terms of 1,000x wins (six - DOA and Jurassic Park are my joint best with seven each).
And it has been a fairly good source for wins of 400x and above as well.
They frequently come at quite a cost up front though.
I have had 62 1,000x wins in my slotting career.
Lil Devil was responsible for precisely none of the first 45 of them (from September 2013 to January 2022), but is responsible for no less than SIX of my last seventeen (from February 2022 to uhm...last Thursday).
I have played at every stake from 10p to £1, so I can say with some certainty that I have racked up well over half a million spins on it, maybe even reached a million.
So anyway, enough of the stat geekery....
In ALL of those spins, I can say with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that I have had only TWO instances where I got an 8x AND a 12x angel wild in the same base game spin (and one of them was a dead spin!)
I have never had a 10x and a 12x, a pair of 10x or a pair of 12x angel wilds.
This is despite my having played this game A HELL OF A LOT on 10p and 20p stakes.
My best base game wins have tended to involve getting a pair of 8x angel wilds.
I think my biggest base game win is something similar to Jarichkn's post above.
Like 1 way of 5 purple hearts and 1 way of 5 Ks at 64x or something, somewhere around 360x bet.
I know for a fact that I have had several base game spins where I have been "one out" from a win of over 400x. You know, things like 864 ways of six 10s. Or 96 ways of 5 purple hearts OR six scorpions.
To be honest, I think the "realistic best win" that is achievable within the base game would be something like.....
purple heart, purple heart plus wild, 8x angel, 12x angel, wild or purple heart, purple heart for a win 1920x. OR scorpion, two scorpions plus a wild on reel 2, 8x angel, 12x angel, scorpion or wild, scorpion for a win of 1440x.
And they are still what I would consider to be "quite the very long reach".
That said, I think if you changed the 8x and 12x angel wilds to a pair of 8x wilds, the likelihood would be
a good bit more achievable.
I said earlier that I have only had two instances of an 8x angel and a 12x angel, but I have had at least
thirty instances of a pair of 8x angel wilds (and far too many of them were dead spins!).
So yeah, absolute best case scenario that is not PURE FANTASY is 8x and 12x angel wilds, wilds on reels 2 and 5, good way win combination(s) of whatever symbols land on the outer 4 reels.
I think if you EVER hit a base game win above 500x, you are already in a fairly exclusive club.
Let alone going north of 1,000x.
