Beware Quicktender Unauthorized Charges

Those of you using Quicktender and their credit card deposit feature, please pay close attention to what is charged to your bank account,.. especially if you make a series of deposits of the same amount within a few days, like I did.

This past week, I made 10 deposits into my QuickTender account with my Mastercard ( yes, I've been losing ). I made nine $50 and one $56 deposit.

Today, my bank's transaction log shows that QT charged me for the $56 deposit and ten $50 deposits. Somewhere in there, they slipped in an extra $50 deposit that never took place. The order of these transactions did not arrive to my bank in the order in which they were made. I truly believe QT tries to take advantage of certain situations like this where an additional charge for the same amount can easily be overlooked, especially if one is not paying close attention. In addition, there is no reason why the transactions, as received by the bank, should be out of the order in which they were made. This only adds room for confusion and error,..and the error seems to always benefit them.

What bugs me the most is Quicktender's non-response to my numerous emails for their assistance in resolvoing this. The only time they actually replied was when I emailed them to let them know I made a successful deposit using InternetExplorer as opposed to Firefox. They replied in 20 minutes (and during non-working hours! ) thanking me for this information. Now they wont even acknowledge my existence...bunch of jerks..

What makes this worse, is having to explain to my bank what all these transaction are for as I am disputing one of the $50 charges. I admit, I felt like an idiot, when my Bank asked for QT's phone number where they could be reached. "Why would you place hundreds of your hard earned dollars with a website or service that doesnt even have a phone number where they could be reached?" I said, "um...um..because I'm an idiot?"

So, in sum, my message: Check your statements carefully. They've got clever methods to get that extra buck from you. Perhaps its safer to just make one large deposit as opposed to making a bunch of 'as needed' deposits like I did.

Better yet, don't even use QuickTender. Why pass your money to a group that provides support whenever the F*Ck they want.

Good Luck to you all !

Customer Support for my Bank said for me to call them tomorrow, during regular hours, to give them further details if I wanted to go forth with disputing this extra $50 that was charged.

I'd like to hear any opinions out there....whether or not its a good idea to go forth with this dispute, considering I'm in the US and what QuickTender is...kind of a sensitive issue...or maybe its not?. Should I feel somehow threatened if my Bank asks for my QT's transaction log? How would guys handle this situation? I would like to get my $50 back. But considering the times, I dont want to create a big stink and problems for myself either.

Thanks for any input-

Could it be that you simply forgot and possibly did do the 10th
deposit for $50
I know I get a itch to gamble an sometimes I deposit in several casino's an plan on going back to play an forgot I deposited
logged in an saw the cash there
like when we had to clear out our neteller accounts

is it worth your bank digging into what you do with your cash?

Good Luck

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Yes I'm 99.99% sure QT charged my Mastercard an additional $50.

After four days, QT Support sends me this:

Please be informed that your issue has been registered and forwarded to the respective department. We will contact with you as soon as we receive an answer from them.

To me, this means they've done nothing...delay tactics.

Yes, I know..I've considered that question in regards to my bank being nosey with what I do with my money...at the same time, its difficult to just sit back and allow 50 bucks to be taken away without trying to get it back.

Thanks

IMO I would fight this out with Quicktender. If you do the chargeback I would think they may ban you from doing anymore transactions with your MC. And, even though it isn't your banks business I think you'll be raising all kinds of red flags. I had this happen with Neteller twice last year when I still was using them. They resolved it but you have to be very diligent or I think any of these processors would let it go. Even though it may take a bit you may be better off. But, like I said, just my opinion.

I think you're right on with your opinions and advice...

Yes, I think you're correct about the chargeback and possible consequences resulting from it. So I will not be calling my bank back to dispute this transaction.

Yes, same thing happened with me and Neteller also in the past. And it did take quite awhile for it to be resolved..lots of patience needed.

Diligence is key...I guess I'm just tired of this cat and mouse chase.

Thanks for your input

I will enclose a email between Quicktender an I

so sorry I didn't know if they went thru quicktender support on the quick site
so I was showeingthem the email I sent to an how fast I got a reply
no no I am having no problems
ss maybe I should't have posted

Cindy

I always kept track of where I deposited by writing down the amount , date and casino . I know I had to double check myself before and the mistake was actually mine .

Yes, I do the same. I am not having any difficulties with knowing which casinos I've played at, when and how much I've deposited there. My post is about a discrepancy in amount of money that was deposited into my QT account and the amount charged to my Mastercard. And I've quadruple-checked my transaction logs, and the mistake continues to be theirs.;)

You're fine:) thanks for trying to help. I understand they will also call you back if you request it, but I haven't had the need.

Hi all,

I am pleased to announce that QT reversed that extra charge to my Mastercard.

In my last email to them before they corrected this accounting error, I sent them copies of my QT 'report' along with my Bank's transaction log...it clearly shows that I was charged too much. Also, I mentioned that in addition to the inconveniences this has caused, I also do not feel comfortable having my bank ask me questions regarding these transactions and the sensitive issues surrounding the purpose of QuickTender. Im sure QT also does not want to raise any red flags with those US Banks that currently are allowing for their customers to transact without problems.

QT did not notify or confirm with me that they had corrected this accounting error. After I realized QT did indeed reverse the extra charge to my bank, I immediately sent an email, to all persons and departments involved in this case, to express my appreciation for their help and resolving this in a timely manner. They continue to be silent with me...maybe they really are just so busy and without the time to even acknowledge a thank you email. In any event, I'm glad all is squared away.

Thank you all for your advice and input....good luck

i won't use them until they change banks again. thread in ATB

Dubai is common for Grand Prive, Belle Rock, etc. My bank called the first time it showed up just to see if I was aware I was dealing with a "bicycle shop" in Dubai! Fortunately in my business I do have some strange charges once in a while!:D

do you remember where the money taken by qt went to,the reason i ask is because a charge for $49.96 showed up on my bank statement from Dubai, the bank only could give me a phone # to find out who it was and they don't respond to my messages

All of my QT charges are from Dubai...

Yes...their support is poor.

Hi all,

I am pleased to announce that QT reversed that extra charge to my Mastercard.

Well, they're back at it again...

Last week, QT charged me for 1 extra deposit, which was what started this thread.. and after wasting too much time with emails and their sub-standard support, they finally did reverse this charge.

Last night, I log into my Bank account and see 3 new and separate charges from QT that were not made by me! These guys are crooked...its as if they are testing to see who notices what..if no complaints, then thats money in there pockets.

I wish I had more options for deposits/ withdrawals...I'm so ready to dump this usemywallet.

Again, for those depositing into QT with CCards, check your transaction logs daily...you might find extra charges, like me.

Depositing Option

Hi everyone,

Indicka, I am so sorry that you are having such trouble with these crooked e-wallets. I am also from the US and I deposit using my Mastercard Debit card. The one I use is prepaid. I bought it in a check cashing facility and I just put money on it whenever I run out. Another Mastercard is by Wired Plastic. This is also a prepaid card. The email addy's for each are www.netspend.com, and www.wiredplastic.com. For some reason the Visa Cards are tempermental, however, my Mastercard works everywhere on the internet. I have been using my prepaid debit card for years and I love it. Hope this helps you.

Thank you Linda7 for your suggestions.

In regards to the aforementioned prepaid cards, will the casinos process your cashins/ withdrawals to these cards? Or, are they good only for deposits into casinos? Have you experienced any limitations with your prepaid Mastercard?

...and Kissessssss ;)

From my experience with QT and from what you described, I would guess your mysterious $49.96 charge was from QT. Similarities: 1) For $50 deposits, QT has been charging me a few cents less, a random amount ranging from $49.80 to $49.98 (you gotta love the discount!). 2) All of my QT charges are from Dubai. 3) charges to and amounts debited from my bank account involves a Debit Card 4) their phone numbers are bunk

My bank would refund my money, cancel my card, and issue me a new one if I requested it. However, I do think this would raise some red flags with my bank...and as a result, they would probably limit my MasterCard use to just buying groceries and maybe gas.

Reply to Indicka

Hi Indicka, Unfortunately these cards are only good for deposits. As for withdrawals I ask the casino for a check, or an ach. I use Netspend's Mastercard. The only limitation is the amount that you can load to the card which is 2500 per day. I like to use the prepaid Mastercard since I can deposit directly into the casino via their cashier, thus, avoiding any third party charges. It costs $1.50 to load money onto your card which is very reasonable. I tend to use my card alot. Each time you use it you can either be charged $1.50 per transaction or pay 9.95 per month for unlimited usage. I chose the 9.95/month plan as it works out to be much cheaper than to pay for each individual charge/deposit. Since I know how much I start the day with, it is very easy to keep track of my money. I tend to make numerous deposits for the same amount at the same casino and never had one duplicate charge in all the years that I am using this depositing method. I hope this helps and do not hesitate to let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Hugggsssssssssssss,
Linda7

Hi Indicka, Unfortunately these cards are only good for deposits. As for withdrawals I ask the casino for a check, or an ach.

I remember now why I didn't buy a Netspend card months ago. The reason was this inability to withdraw winnings to it.
I like to have my winnings/ money available for use as quickly as possible. I remember hearing that typically, check and ACH withdrawals to the US, take about a month before that money is available to the payee. For me, thats too long. However, because of my current situation, I might have to reconsider.

Thanks

I just wanted to say that becareful using e-wallet from a third party companies. I would done some research first before you sign up. For examples. Do they have phone support? Is their web secured for transaction? How is their customer service rating is? What is their fees? How long they been in the company? Check out some forums what they say about those companies.

I almost sign up with quick tender and gave up when I couldn't register and they don't have phone support.

I also use Netspend/Wired Plastic for my deposits. However, I have my Quicktender account set up to send any withdrawals to my Wired Plastic account. They accept wires and other than it takes too darn long for QT/WP to process deposits, I have had no problem. That way, no banks are really involved.

I am not real thrilled with QT but if that's all you got, you have to work with it.

Hope this helps someone.

I'm not really thrilled with QT neither...Unfortunately, it's all I have and am trying to work with it, without get pissed off every week when I look at my bank account to find transactions that are not mine!

...today, I caught another QT overcharge! that makes 3 separate incidences in 3 weeks.

Quicktender

QT is really pissing me off!

Today, I found yet another overcharge from QT! That makes 3 incidences in 3 weeks. Seems its a pattern with me and QT...they overcharge, I catch it and complain, they reverse/ cancel the charge, a week goes by, and the pattern repeats. WTF?!

To all QT customers: Be on the safe side...check your bank logs daily.

Any way you could fund QT with a (non-banking) debit card? I certainly wouldn't like them fingering around in my bank account whenever they like, either! But then, how would you get money out of QT? **sigh** Nothing is simple anymore.
