We received a PAB wherein a player claimed to have deposited €300, received a 100% "match deposit" bonus, worked their balance up to €4000, requested a withdrawal and was locked out of the casino. The casino people quoted item 7.3 from the Terms which included the following:
... if in BetClic’s discretion, there is suspicion of abuse (for instance, where a deposited amount has not been used for an appropriate level of game play ....

This is "spirit of the bonus" stuff and an unreasonable policy toward players. After we received the player's PAB we tried several times over the course the next six weeks or so to get a response from Betclic. They received every attempt and ignored the lot, never once responding.

Warning: Betclic is imposing "spirit of the bonus" Terms without warning or explanation. They are ignoring player and third-party attempts to raise and discuss these issues. Player are advised to avoid Betclic until their policies change and their Support is more responsive to player's complaints.

Unfortunately I have to update this Warning because of Betclic's increasingly alarming and Rogue-ish tactics. We've had player issues dragging on for months now were the casino keeps setting payment dates only to ignore them when the time comes. [strike]They've gone so far as to mis-inform eCOGRA about the payments they've made when in fact no such payments were issued.[/strike]¤ This is flat-out deceit and manipulation. This Warning needs to be updated accordingly:

Warning: In addition to predatory Terms and shabby Support this casino is now employing slow-pay/no-pay tactics and falsely reporting payments made. Players are going unpaid for months in spite of the casino's promises and guarantees. Players are strongly advised to avoid Betclic Casino.

¤ Readers should consider the statement regarding eCOGRA withdrawn. There is insufficient evidence to substantiate such a claim.

[strike]See Betclic mess (Betclic Everest Group) for related issues.[/strike]

Update: Bryan recently met with some of the Everest people in Dublin. Turns out the connection(s) between Betclic and the Everest Group casinos is not close: Everest casinos appear to be distinct and separate from Betclic. As such it's only fair to caution readers to judge Everest casinos on their own and not assume that they are guilty of the same practices as Betclic.

FTR, still no contact from Betclic but they have recently paid on one of the outstanding player issues.

We will review this Warning in the coming week or two to see if the situation warrants re-evaluation.

Betclic has since come forward and we're working together to settle the outstanding and/or unresolved PAB cases.

I don't recall there having been any tangible results from last year's efforts: the Warning stands. Also regarding an earlier post:

Seems that wasn't true at all: see BETCLIC EVEREST COMPLETES EVEREST GAMING TAKEOVER (Update)
